Don't be intimidated by the fact that it's also a market and a tailor, and their unlit sign is hard to see after sunset. Was looking to try something different and came upon Somali food. I have a colleague who is from Somali and said to try the food. First impressions are "what in the world is this". It looks like a seamstress works there but then you get a feel that maybe it's a small ethnic grocery store and then way back on the right is a little kitchen. Told then what kind of food I was looking for an office lunch and the young lady very politely helped me with the selections....
I needed a good place that reminded me of food from Guinea-Bissau and Angola and I was more than pleased. Quite an authentic place, the Halal meat is great quality. The hot sauce was pretty hot, even for a Mexican like me, but oh so delicious! The portion sizes are commendable and the best part is they don't leave you feeling icky and gross.The bananas at the end were just the icing on the proverbial cake.
