A must-try fine dining experience in Salt Lake city. Everything was great. Wasn't one thing I didn't enjoy eating or drinking. The service is fantastic and you can tell that a lot goes into the meals. I did the 7 course with beverage pairing (not wine) which included amuse bouche, bread, salad, 4 mains, 2 desserts and 5 drinks. Highlights of the meal were the duck pasta and the lamb. I also really enjoyed the olive oil cake and the drinks. They do have a vegetarian menu (but I didn't get the opportunity to try it).

The Bakery Part, (Table X Bread ?) was not great. The coffee cake was extremely dry with very little flavor. Very expensive for what it is.

Hands down best dining experience in Utah. They put so much into each dish that they are all an experience. I always love the pasta course. Very best sourdough and homemade whipped mascarpone butter, I always buy some for the road!

Food in general was very good. The middle courses were excellent (they made kale actually taste really delicious!). The nonalcoholic pairing was not my favorite which was too bad compared to the meal.

I absolutely love the restaurant! Layout is great, I would have preferred a booth but I reserved the chefs counter. I love a good chefs counter at a high end dining spot, the night was a bit slow (weather I assume) and so was the kitchen. We also ate at the last reservation time (8:30) so I will chalk it up to that. I’d still suggest a booth, they are gorgeous wrap around high backs!Service was spectacular, Mickey (I so hope this is right) was our primary waiter and he was FABULOUS! Drinks were always filled, setting was perfect. To the food… I will fully admit, I’m a food snob. I love eating at Michelin star restaurants and every time I have a tasting menu I expect similar quality. This was close and not bad at all for salt lake, though I think prices are steep for what I got. I will go back once the menu rotates to give a more general review. The bread and the cultured butter to start… some of the best. If they don’t make it as a fine dining option, the bakery should absolutely keep delivering. The butter is heavenly. Seriously if you are reading this just stop and go get some!Let’s roll down the current tasting menu as of March 2024:Poached fennel salad: really good, could have used more but it was a great start. The bleu cheese was wonderful (I don’t normally enjoy it)Confit mushroom taco was so good, the mole and poblano salsa were spectacular and deserve to be something much more than this.Ocean trout: I was surprised here, I am not a massive fish fan but this was fantastic through the last bite. The mustard sauce and potatoes were really delicious! The torchietto pasta: this was one of the seven course options. I did like this but there was no wow factor. The duck was perfectly cooked in some pieces and overcooked in others, the kick was great but overall it was underwhelming (for here and the price)Teton valley leg of lamb: The lamb was very well prepared and not gamey at all but the jus and the cabbage were underperforming partners to the dish.Beets & cream: this dish scared me, beets being so earthy as a dessert… ? it so almost made it! The beets were too thick cut for this dish and could have been slightly sugar coated and caramelized in addition to being a bit thinner. I wanted to love this so much but it did fall short. The wafer inside though YUM!Olive oil cake: This dessert was very good! The cake was a tad dry but flavorful and the mascarpone and almond really brightened it up.I’m not 100% sold here but I will be back to try it again, it’s an experience and expensive. Is it worth it? Time will tell for me but we deserve places like this in SLC. I hope they keep it up.

I absolutely love the fresh sour dough breads they make. I'm especially fond of the Saturday only oatmeal treacle loaf. Mmmmmm!

Went in with a big group for the 7 course menu with the drink pairing. Absolutely amazing dishes & great staff! Thank you to the chefs and front of house who made such a beautiful dining experience! This is definitely a standout place in Utah’s culinary scene.

My wife and I were blown away by all the amazing food. And when we didn't think it could get better, the perfect wine pairing complimented the food perfectly & elevated the flavors of both even more. Everything was exquisite! If you are able to visit Table X, you will NOT be disappointed. We give it our highest recommendation!Kid-friendliness: An adult experience, not a place for kids..

If you are in SLC and can get a reservation at Table X, I highly recommend it! It is a wonderful culinary journey. We enjoyed a Chef's Counter Experience as a birthday meal and we loved having a front-row seat to watch the team in action. But there is plenty of beautiful traditional seating in the restaurant. We ordered the chef's pairing menu with the non-alcoholic drinks because if any place can make that work, it's SLC. And I'm happy to report that the n/a pairings were not all shrubs or boring juices, but they were complex flavors that paired perfectly with each dish! Well done!!! (Food descriptions are on the photo captions. We actually went on Nov 2023 & I am late to post this review so I need to remember what each dish was. I just remember everything was delicious.)Table X is a farm-to-table restaurant with very creative dishes. Everything was seasoned perfectly, the flavors worked very well together, and you can tell the entire team takes pride in their work. There is a bakery downstairs that is open during the day and just received a 2024 James Beard nomination! We didn't have time to go back for the bakery, but we absolutely will on future trips.

This was our second time at table x. Although with a tasting menu there are smaller portions, both times we left very full. The flavors and creativity of the dishes are unmatched by anything else you may find in the salt lake valley. Definitely a splurge but so worth it. I still think about my favorite dishes I have had here. If you are looking to celebrate a special occasion or are a foodie in search of a unique experience you must give table x a try. I love that they have a vegetarian menu and did not feel like I was missing out like I usually do with getting the vegetarian option. 10/10 would recommendVegetarian options: Vegetarian tasting menu that is equal to the omnivore menu

Last night, my partner and I, along with another couple, decided to splurge on a dinner at Table X, renowned for its seven-course menu and premium pricing. With high expectations and a hefty price tag, we anticipated a memorable dining experience. Unfortunately, our anticipation quickly turned to disappointment. Firstly, the restaurant did not adequately accommodate our friends' pescatarian dietary requirements. Despite being informed in advance, the staff brought out incorrect dishes, leading to an awkward and disjointed dining experience. This lack of attention to detail was surprising and unacceptable for a restaurant of this caliber and price point. The overall quality of the food was underwhelming. Each course, barring the dessert, was mediocre and lacked the wow factor one would expect from such a high-priced menu. The flavors were unremarkable, and the presentation was nothing out of the ordinary. This was a letdown, considering the cost and the restaurant's reputation. The dessert, however, was a saving grace. It was delicious and beautifully presented, but it wasn't enough to salvage the overall dining experience. In conclusion, Table X did not live up to its high price tag. While the ambiance was decent, and the dessert was delightful, the main courses, service missteps, and the lack of accommodation for dietary preferences significantly marred our experience. I cannot recommend Table X, especially when there are many other dining options available that offer better value and higher quality. 2/5 stars.
