I had a late lunch there today. This was my first time there. The food is actually really good. The best spring rolls I’ve had at a pho place in Utah. The pho itself was excellent. I added a side of tater tots and they were also great.
Everything was looking good but then the shift manager (a young woman in a yellow shirt and eye glasses) decided to take disciplinary actions against one of the employees at the table right next to us. 3 feet away. It made me and my family extremely uncomfortable. I could tell that the employee that was being talked to was also embarrassed because it was happening in the dining area. The shift manager was speaking in what seemed a loud voice as to call attention to what she was doing. This was extremely inappropriate. An employee should be talked to/disciplined in private with a witness present. Not in the middle of the eating area. Also, I know you are not a good leader when you have to bring up why you are the manager there to the employee. You lack respect from your staff if you have to do that.
When the manager was done speaking with the employee, I let her know how uncomfortable she made us feel while sitting next to them. She responded by telling me that it was a conversation between her and her employee. I let her know that she was too loud and that was not how you do something like that. I could tell that she didn’t like what I was telling her.
Ultimately this is not fully her fault. She needs leadership and management training and this is where the owners of this restaurant need to step in. They are doing this young woman and the employees there a disservice to them. They seem to not have an environment where people enjoy working there. No one smiled while they were working. I’m pretty sure I know why.

The garlic butter steak bahn mi with the beef broth is to die for. One of the screens to order wasn’t working but an employee was willing to take my order at the pickup only counter cause it was so busy so I appreciated that! Amazing food.

I had a great experience at Tamarind! The beef pho was flavorful and delicious, and the chicken egg rolls paired perfectly with the sweet chili sauce. The service was quick and friendly, and I’ll definitely be back for more. Highly recommend!

I placed a to-go order here during lunchtime, and it was very busy, so there was a bit of a wait—about 25 minutes. I ordered a salad, which I felt was a little underwhelming for the price. That said, the staff was friendly and overall provided a good experience.

This would be five stars, as the food was delicious and the staff were very nice. We ordered tofu bahn mi, which was delicious, the pho burger, which my boyfriend really liked, the tamarind bowl, which was okay, and the Bún Bò Huế, which he also liked. We also got the lychee refresher which was good but nothing special. We ate the first two items right away and put the other two in the fridge for later. After eating the Tamarind bowl for dinner, I immediately started feeling nauseous and shakey. About a half hour later I threw it up pretty quickly. I am not blaming the restaurant per say but I want to be honest in my review and it didn't seem right to leave that part out. I don't know if it was just my body not liking something in the tamarind bowl or what. Food poisoning, in my experience, doesn't present like that for me (starts hours later and I'm throwing up for hours), so I'm hesitant to call it that. The food was all really delicious 5/5 except for the tamarind bowl that was meh 3.5/5. I was going to go back and order some more food because they have a good vegan selection but now I'm too anxious to. It was probably just something that didn't sit right in my stomach but that has never happened to me before so I am at a loss for why I threw it up. But yeah so I took a star off because that was not a fun experience.

The portion is very big, the flavor is good and the place is very clean!
Awesome environment and staff, however their Pho is not good. The chicken tasted like it was from a can, they don’t have any veggies to add on or gluten free sauces. Overall probably fine but a bit or a let down. The broth was excellent tho. Also you order and pay your self.
They came and checked on me and made it right and said they are working on improving. Very impressed
Vegetarian options: Not many veggie options.
