The Copper Onion offers a relaxed atmosphere, making it a great spot to enjoy a meal at the bar. The service is attentive but not intrusive, with staff checking in frequently without being pushy. The menu is impressive, featuring a range of dishes including burgers, dumplings, and sandwiches. Standout items include the classic burger, ricotta dumplings, Cuban sandwich, and steak frites. The wagyu beef stroganoff was amazing, and the trout came with perfectly crisp skin, resting on a yogurt sauce with earthy lentils. Some dishes were on the salty side, like the fries with the hamburger, but the meat loaf was probably the best dish ordered. The cocktails were delicious, especially the Space Cowboy, smooth and fresh. With both indoor and outdoor seating options, this restaurant is an excellent dinner choice in downtown Salt Lake, where you can sit and watch the constant flow of people passing by. The chocolate pudding was lush, lingering on the tongue, and the patatas bravas smelled amazing. Sometimes, a humble burger done just right is enough.
