A local favorite. They always take great care of us. The food is exceptional and the service is amazing. We're big fans of Tuscany.
We have been here a number of times and it never disappoints! Connor, our server was on point, the food was amazing, and overall the evening was great! Will be going back!!
Lovely experience. The staff--everyone--could not have been more accommodating, competent, or helpful. The food was superb. The cost was high but you get what you pay for.
Delicious food and great ambience. Service was also great - never had an empty glass of water. Prices are high, but in keeping with the history of this upper-level restaurant.
Excellent ambiance, amazing service, wonderful food and an extensive wine list. We are looking forward to coming back this summer to sit on the patio and tour the gardens. Highly recommend giving it a try
Pork chop and bread were great. We also loved the pear salad, that was great. The drink (cranberry lemon drop) was good. For this to be considered fine dining I would have expected a better experience. The dessert (cheesecake) was clearly frozen and the bread was not fresh, it seemed a few days old. The waiter did not remove excess plates as entrees came in making it tough to enjoy the food when our area was crowded.
My wife and I really enjoyed our dinner here! The ambience and atmosphere are unparalleled. You cannot beat the vibe of this place. On top of that, the staff are incredibly nice and the food is amazing. I had a chicken and mushroom dish that I haven't really seen elsewhere so it was nice to try something out of the ordinary. The cocktails were a little small for the price but they were well made. The wine list was good sized. It was a very high quality, elegant dining experience but never stuffy or pretentious. This might be a little more of a special occasion destination but we'll absolutely return.
This is our second year coming to celebrate our birthdays as Tuscany, his on 12/30 and mine on 1/9. I made sure to include “intimate dinner for two” and that it was an occasion notated as “Birthday”. In the past there has been a little note, exciting light up menus, bread offered, you know the overall experience which is why we came back. However, we arrived early and chose to get a drink at the bar prior to our reservation. We then moved to the table in our requested room. There was no personalization and we had to request a menu and bread... also receive a paper menu. Not a deal breaker but a different experience that we had had previously... at the end of our meal the waiter asked us if we would like a desert menu and we mentioned we were celebrating our birthdays so yes we want desert. Overall I think the gentleman is a great bartender but lacks as a server. Disappointing as we look forward to this intimate dinner setting after the holiday chaos.
The atmosphere is magical. The food was excellent. Overall an amazing experience we will be back very soon.
Tuscany Restaurant is gorgeous at Christmas—decor is 10/10. But the operation behind it is a mess. Service was painfully slow, and we were told multiple menu items were sold out (around four), so we ended up settling instead of ordering what we came for.
The food was just “fine,” which doesn’t cut it at these prices. My wife ordered one of the holiday “experience” cocktails (with the ornament/bulb), and it wasn’t presented/poured tableside like it’s marketed.
You’re paying for the look, not the experience. We won’t be back.

Excellent service and gorgeous holiday decor. Food quality was 5 star. Pastas and breads all made in house. Value is very good for the experience.

This dinner was meant to celebrate my sister-in-law’s birthday, but it quickly became uncomfortable and concerning.
Our waiter became visibly agitated, raising his voice and aggressively swinging his hands while speaking to us. His behavior was erratic and alarming, and he appeared emotionally unstable in a way that made me feel genuinely unsafe. The overall service was bizarre and unsettling, and instead of enjoying the evening, we were focused on trying to keep the situation from escalating.
When we spoke with other staff, they acknowledged this waiter was already an issue that night and mentioned he had “choked on something in the kitchen,” as if that explained his behavior. Management showed little urgency in addressing how serious the situation felt.
The restaurant itself is beautiful, but the service completely overshadowed what should have been a special night. I left deeply unimpressed and would not return or recommend this restaurant.

I’m not one to comment on a negative experience, but this was unlike anything myself or my friends had ever seen. Our waiter started off the night of our friend’s birthday with utmost kindness and hospitality. Then, out of nowhere, one of my friends requested he take a photo of the table upon delivery of the birthday dessert and he was agitated with the request, short and rough in tone with his response and said “I have these other tables to serve!” It was incredibly incredibly bizarre. And that didn’t stop. He then ignored our table and when asked to split the check he raised his voice and shook his arms letting us know it would take a while but he will do it. This prompted myself and my friend to seek assistance. We went to the hostess to request to speak to the manager. The hostess told us that our waiter was “contained” tonight or some strange word referencing that this has happened before. The manager shows up and shows literally NO sympathy and ends up telling our table to “just leave it”. While he is speaking to us, our waiter is standing ten feet behind him with absolute anger on his face and a glare in his eyes. It was so uncomfortable— honestly didn’t feel safe.
Then they brought out the checks for us and had included a 20% tip each (and this isn’t the cheapest restaurant) for us to pay. As someone who champions hospitality, I was flabbergasted. Absolutely flabbergasted at this chain of events.
While the ambience was physically breathtaking, the service was a bit alarming and actually made us feel like intruders and highly disrespected. It wasn’t right. It was disappointing and also scary?

I went here for me & my wife’s 5 year anniversary. I asked in the special instructions to put “5 Years, Forever Mine” when I was making the reservation. They botched that, came out with a regular desert plate. The waiter was definitely not attentive to our special night, and treated us like we were just another customer. I was really unimpressed with the service here. I have been to many fine dining experiences in my time, and this fine dining experience is not worth the price you pay. Food was average, service was awful, and clearly they have a lack of communication within their team. They put our bread in the bag without it being boxed!? What kind of fine dining experience doesn’t box your bread up for you? Maybe we got unlucky, but from my experience, this place is a do not visit. I won’t be coming back.

Was recommended to go to this restaurant by my hotel, and I was so glad I came. The restaurant was beautiful, the food wonderful and excellent and attentive service by the waiter Gary. If I’m ever in Salt Lake City again I will return.
