Been here a few times and the food was always good but I came today and food was terrible. Got there at opening and was the first customer in. Didn’t get food for 30 minutes and was ignored by staff. My girlfriend and I ordered the tempura udon that we used to love and now it’s just a mess. Too many veggies and not enough flavor. Mine tasted like water and hers tasted like a gallon of sesame oil. Honestly, never coming back.
The service was ok. Though one of the sushi makers spent more time attending to his wife and kids than getting orders out. They received food before we received ours. And other tables that came in after us received their food before we did. When we did get our food 2 dishes came out before the other parties food came out. The sushi roll we both received was bland. And I’ve NEVER had bland sushi. After paying $110 including tip I told the person I came with that the food was for sure not worth what I spent and the service was for sure lacking. I won’t be back there. And understand why it was not busy when we got there either…
Me and my friend stopped to have sushi take out, it was worse sushi we ever tasted. No flavor, all bland.
So disappointing
Good sushi, noodles and salad
The flavors were good but the quality of the ingredients was lacking. Good service but our server smelled like an ashtray each time she walked past us. The location is really neat. There's a couple of streams outside.
Bad: The different Sushi rolls didn't have much variety and the fried ingredients seemed too cold to be fresh. Fish soup came out way late and was incredibly bland in the broth flavor. Some of the dinnerware was still dirty.
Mid: Calamari appetizer. Menu pricing was average. Patio seating and good tables but was on uneven ground. Service to order entries will be on the slow side. Fried gyazo was ok.
Good: Short ribs and a side of kimchi. Plenty of sides of wasabi/ginger.
My husband and I absolutely love it here. They have a great staff and atmosphere and the food is delicious! We drive 50 miles just to eat here! The Jolly Rancher roll is the best on their menu! Thanks Yellowfinn!
Great food and service! We highly recommend the Magnum P I and Surf n Turf!
Sadly one of the worst sushi I’ve had in my life. Rice was very hard and rolls fell apart. The fish tasted funny. Tried to push through but couldn’t finish the rolls.
Great service and atmosphere. Heated patio was a fun treat. Don't skip the tempura yams.

We are yellowfinn regulars but tonight will be our last. Our funky roll was completely charred and had nothing in it but rice and a green onion.
This place does not have good food. Their sushi is not good. Don't taste fresh. All you can eat buffet flavor quality.. The muscles they have are disgusting. They grind it up with some other stuff. Just disgusting. All their food is really not that good. Just don't go here. It's horrible no freshness in anything. We ate there about 6 months ago. We eat out a few times a week. We constantly tried new restaurants. If I had to compare this place to everyone else it would be the bottom of the barrel.
Their happy hour is so worth it. This place is so cute and the staff is friendly. The sushi is so good and we loved the coconut shrimp.
Worst meal I have ever had in SLC disgusting!!
So bad. Worst Asian ribs I have ever had like rubber. Do not order based on the photos of the food. So bad. Service was great. A+
