Yoimi Sushi & Hibachi Salt Lake City

All the reviews giving 5 stars most likely eat Mcdonalds & this their first time going out. Big No, sashimi was cut like chunks of steak, tuna you definitely know is frozen, white tuna tasted straight defrosted, they use crab stick(imitation) cut in half like crab sashimi. Wife had fried rice and the rice tasted like uncle ben already cooked in microwave and some soy sauce, filet mignon tastes like dennis 2am steak. Servers were fast but in a rush to get you to order, I won’t go back or recommend.

So glad we found this place!! The food was great quality and good portions.

My friend is gluten free and they can pretty much make anything for him that's not tempura because, get this, they use REAL CRAB!! Not the imitation crab like many other places that contains gluten fillers to make up the texture. (delicious, but a bummer for glutards that can't eat it)

Service was fast and we walked away feeling very satisfied with what we ordered. 10/10, and we will definitely be returning again!

I recently visited Yoi Mi Sushi Japanese Steakhouse and, unfortunately, left disappointed. For the price point, most of the food was quite underwhelming. While the appetizers were excellent and easily the highlight of the meal, the rest fell short.

The lobster was overcooked and chewy, and the steak was also cooked beyond the requested temperature. Our table had multiple checks, and several were incorrect, which added unnecessary frustration to the evening. The server was polite but not particularly attentive, though to be fair, the restaurant was quite busy.

Overall, the experience did not justify the cost. Between the overcooked dishes and billing issues, it felt overpriced and not worth the money.

Overall the food here was amazing and left me speechless! The chef/ owner is a very friendly and wonderful cook. Living in Ogden these past few years this place was my favorite and will definitely come back again.

First time visitor. Outstanding service, with very pleasant staff. The food was exceptional and very well prepared. It arrived at our table warm when it should be in cold when it shouldn't. I highly recommend this new sushi and hibachi place. Let's make them famous!

The food at Yoimi Sushi is delicious and fresh. Lunch specials are affordable, the restaurant is clean and comfortable, and the staff are very kind. Our waitress was super nice and helpful—great experience overall! 🍣✨
