We absolutely loved stopping in here. The food was good and the service was AMAZING. We got the bolognese and the pesto. The bolognese was very delicious, but the pesto was a very strong pesto which wasn’t quite my taste. Yummy regardless, just not my fave. The panna cottas were to die for and I would get those again in a heartbeat. There’s not much seating there as it’s more of a communal space.

We ordered on DoorDash - I got the spaghetti with simple San marsano dish and it was like a kids meal pasta. I wouldn’t recommend it. Very mediocre, not very impressive flavor or texture. wish I got something else!! My friend got the bolognese and she said it was ok, like a 3/5.

This place is so good. This is the second time we’ve picked up pasta here and, so far, our favorite sauces are the simple San Marzano and San Marzano with veggies. The latter has more of that onion flavor you might be used to in sauces if you don’t usually get simple red sauces. The pasta is fresh and has a great bite. It’s not watery, overcooked, or bland. A lot comes in a regular size so you’ll be filled. Both flavors of panna cotta are wonderful. The chocolate is rich and the mixed berry is my personal favorite.I really appreciate that there’s a place with great fresh pasta that’s so accessible.

This is my first time trying Zaffos. I got delivery so can't comment on service or atmosphere but everyone seems to have good things to say and the owner responds to reviews so you know that they care. I had the pappardelle with bolognese as well as tiramisu. The order is large (enough for two meals) and well packed/presented; I appreciated the accompanying grated parm. I would say that this is an excellent value. I have given 4 stars as the pappardelle was quite thick (not to be confused with the width). I will get a different pasta the next time I order and I am sure that I will think it is perfect. The tiramisu also tastes very nice with lots of coffee/espresso and the portion is generous.I am very glad to have found this restaurant.TY!

This unique operation overdelivers in all the best ways. It starts with food. The pasta is fantastic, the you'll find in Utah and probably beyond. The sauces are just as fantastic. Trust me, just try it!

Zaffo's makes genuinely the best pesto lasagna I've ever eaten! They're open on Saturdays only and they're located inside of ComCom Kitchen, a commercial kitchen in South Salt Lake. They have fresh pastas they sell every Saturday from 11am-9pm or until they sell out. They also have two different types of lasagna that you can pre-order on their website, in addition to tiramisu and fresh pastas that you can also pre-order for pick up. Pre-orders must be ordered by midnight on Thursday for Saturday pickup. I'm telling you - GET THEIR PESTO LASAGNA and thank me later. We ordered it and never wanted it to end. I could've eaten 4 servings of it, it was just so fresh and delicious. We also got some mini desserts from their case and we shared them all and none of us could decide which our favorite was, so my recommendation is to just get all of them :)

Absolutely amazing!!!Fresh pasta, delicious sauces (we had the bolognese and the San Marino tomato). Rich flavor and our bellies feel somehow both pleasantly full and light after eating the entire servings. The panna cotta desserts are out this world! The mixed berry and the chocolate…we considered going back for more right after we ate since they are only open on Saturdays and we can’t wait a week to have them again!

You guys!! Literal best new recent find in SLC!!! I’m feeling a little selfish because I kinda want to keep this place a secret lol but it’s just too lovely and amazing not to share. We have NOTHING like this in SLC, nothing. Fresh, homemade, authentic Italian pasta made in front of you, cooked fresh, and may I say, absolutely perfectly cooked al dente, lovely bite and texture and great sauce and organic/fresh ingredients. My husband and I have been to just about every Italian restaurant in the valley including your typical higher end ones I.e Valters, all the Sicilia lines, and all the more casual ones like Mastra etc. and this place is just as good if not much better than the high end places. The best part however, is that the street food/casual take out concept is awesome and something we don’t have in the city and makes for a phenomenal casual option for Italian instead of only having Italian for formal/special occasions. Like any other culture, there is a causal/street food dining concept that we’ve never been blessed to have in SLC. This is the first time I’ve seen this casual concept and it’s absolutely refreshing and a breath of fresh air not only for an Italian food concept, but also for how well-done it was. My husband and I just came down the mountain from skiing all day and it was awesome to be able to grab extremely well-done pasta, take it to go, and also drop some off for my inlaws and have it at home given my MIL just had surgery. Being able to have this good of an Italian meal at home that wasn’t frozen processed Olive Garden was definitely one of those experiences that wasn’t just a typical take out food experience, but became a memory with family. We tried two different pasta cuts and the genovese pesto and bolognese sauces+ all 3 desserts and everything was impeccable. The actual pasta (texture/cook time/flavor of the noodle) was the best we’ve had in the state in comparison to even the high-end places and the sauces were just great. All 3 desserts were delicious and unique in texture but lovely and very balanced when you have all 3 together. These guys truly understand the art and are true artists in their pasta making.Needless to say, very homey, Italian, extremely welcoming good vibes from the owners, you feel like you’re walking into someone’s home even though it’s at a communal kitchen. The vibes were so lovely and we loved that this place is ran by a couple that came up with something very good and different than the typical formal Italian restaurant that we have way too many of in SLC. The service was spot on and you instantly felt like a friend in the community walking in.This place is so unique and it’s honestly kinda cool that they’re only open one day a week right now, I bet they’ll blow up and expand but I hope it’ll still keep the homey, small business, local casual Italian vibes when they eventually absolutely crush it because there’s no doubt they will. I could see them doing a casual cafe somewhere down the road but it’ll likely be literal line out the door everyday when they get to that point. Absolutely go check them out for the best hand made pasta in town and be one of the first to experience this pure magic!!!

Zaffo's is my favorite pasta downtown. They are always very nice and hospitable. The Pappardelle with Bolognese meat sauce is hands down my favorite along with their Tiramisu for the dessert. You won't be disappointed!

We are huge fans of Zaffo's! Not only can you get amazing homemade pasta, but you get to support some amazing people! Highly recommend the Fresh Reginette with Ragù alla Bolognese with some Tiramisù!

Fresh pasta was so worth every penny! I ordered online, picked up at their kitchen. They will send a message to us once it's ready for pick up. The owners were very friendly and instructed us some steps in case we would want to freeze it. I only wish they would also allow pick up on other days so it's convenient for me because I work in downtown on weekdays.

It's everything we hoped it would be, honestly. Homemade-quality sauce, and those noodles are perfect. I feel like they have a great quality:price ratio going on here. If you are a fan of pasta, I think this is a must-try.
