“San Francisco Sourdough Eatery is this hidden gem in the Chevron gas station. The service times are consistently lengthy, but the sandwiches are always great and keep me coming back every time I'm in the area.
The best sandwich on the menu is the turkey avocado BLT. It's tough to recommend anything else when this sandwich is steps above the rest. If you get a soda, you can fill up at their drink station, or waltz over to the gas station one which has 3x the options.
Be prepared for a decent wait time on your sandwich. The fastest I've gotten mine in the 15+ years I've come here is 8 minutes; the longest is 20 minutes, with the average around 12-15. It's worth the wait. They've got a small dining room to eat at, or just take it to go. It's a sandwich after all. I had to go 4-stars because the service is never something to brag about, but this place is a must-stop if you love a great sourdough sandwich.“
