A MUST-VISIT!
Hires Big H absolutely blew us away! The chicken tenders were immaculate—soft, white meat with zero weird bits and perfectly cooked. The chili cheese fries hit that ideal balance of warm, savory, and cheesy comfort. And the root beer float? Massive, refreshing, and the perfect sweetness. Total showstopper.
My kids loved their shakes, which were generously sized and full of flavor without that overly sugary taste you get at other places.
But the real surprise star of the menu is the Grilled Chicken Supreme. I know it’s a burger restaurant, but trust me—this lemony, juicy, flavor-packed grilled chicken club is the BEST thing they serve. I’d choose it over the burgers any day. Their chicken noodle soup was also so delicious!
Overall, Hires Big H is a big win for families and a place we’ll keep coming back to!

Had a great date, very busy night but Denny our server was super friendly (along with the rest of the staff) definitely will go back and try other menu items...root beer float 😋

This was the most bland burger I have ever had. Basically $20 for a plain patty unseasoned and tossed on a grill. We were very disappointed and won’t be back.

This was our first time at Hires Big H and I honestly would not go back. Service was good. We had no complaints other than we didnt know if we were supposed to pay at the table or the registers up front. The flavor was decent but the pricing for what you get is horrible. I ordered a veggie burger and the patty is maybe a quarter of an inch thick. I even asked the waitress about it and she said it was normal. My veggie burger (thinnist veggie patty I have ever seen, one slice of amercian cheese lettuce, tomatoe and grilled onion) with fries and a medium drink was $20. My wife loved her Ruben (which had well over an inch of meat) but still felt that +$20 for her sandwhich, onion rings and drink was also overpriced compared to other options around the neighborhood. Further, they dont do free refills which is insane for $3 20oz drink. $50 for two people to eat a moderate sized burger meal with no free refills is just not something I am willing to do again.

I ordered the Country H Double in a Big H Combo with French Fries and a Frosty Mug of Root Beer. I also ordered an Oreo Shake. The bun makes the burger for me, and it's definitely a fresh patty. The bacon is worth the extra cost for me. Both fries and onion rings are good, but I like the fries better. However, I'd get a shake over fries if you're watching the budget. The root beer is delicious and the frosted mug ups the delivery. I love the shakes, especially the Oreo shake. Tons of Oreo and great consistency.
Our server was awesome! I didn't catch her name, but she gave helpful recommendations and provided excellent service from start to finish. I enjoy the classic diner atmosphere of Hires Big H.
If you're parking in the Ballpark West lot, you're in the wrong spot. There's a lot across the street from Hires, and you won't have to walk a 5K just to get here.
This is a Utah original, and I enjoy their burgers, fries (and fry sauce), and root beer. It's a pricey restaurant, definitely pricier than the satisfaction it provides, but it's a fresh burger, solid buns, and a good experience overall. I'd eat here again.

Came here with friends (although I didn’t buy food) but our server Aaron was actually fantastic. He was super friendly and got my friends food out super fast. Not only that but he also picked up my AirPods off the ground when I didn’t even notice. Also I’d like to add that Saxton was also amazing. He brought out my drinks super fast, was super nice, and really added to the experience. Definitely recommend!

Perfectly adequate. Simple burger diner menu. Food isn’t amazing, by any stretch. Shakes are good and a requirement, in my opinion.

We love Hires! Aaron has been our server the few times we have been there and he is fantastic! He’s very attentive and helpful. He checked on us multiple times during our meal and even offered us a root beer to go. We will definitely be back, especially if Aaron is working.

Best service I’ve ever had at a Hires, and I’ve been a customer at both your locations for years! Love the new location at Downtown Daybreak. Our server Aaron was personable, smiley, and attentive. Hope he’s our server next time! High fives all around. :)

Beautiful new restaurant! Love that we have a Hires closer to us now. Aaron was absolutely INCREDIBLE. Such a great experience with him. Only place we will order onion rings, and their hot fudge brownie was insane!
