We were in SLC for a few days from Arizona and were hungry for Mexican. Mi Ranchito was highly rated, so we headed over at mid-afternoon. Immediately struck with how clean and inviting the dining area is. Friendly greeting, awesome service, and really delicious food. I loved the Carnitas Michoacanas. Good quality protein and fresh vegetables. Our server Nyrobis was pleasant, very helpful, and attentive.

I had dinner here for a family member’s birthday. I got the chicken mole burrito. The flavor was sub par. You couldn’t taste the mole, the beans looked like they came from a can. The after effects have had me doing the dreaded sit, squirt, flush, turn, kneel and puke dance. The salsa was pretty bland. The guacamole lacked flavor. The one saving grace was the birthday fried ice cream that had a road flare size sparkler in it.

The prices here are outrageous considering the simplicity of preparation and ingredients. It feels like this place is declining, especially with new establishments offering more reasonable pricing. Asking for salsa is met with an absurd reaction, and it seems like the servers and staff upfront are becoming increasingly hostile. The food is to runny tostada shells are soft they fall apart, my my the things I can say....

We were there about 7 on a Thursday night. It was packed, but we got seated immediately. Waiter brought chips and salsa within just a couple of minutes and was very attentive. Got our orders in and food came surprisingly fast. It was hot and fresh and delicious. I was blown away by how fast and efficient everything was especially considering how busy they were. Waiter was very friendly and helpful and didn't show stress or annoyance even though he was also waiting on a 20 person table adjacent to us. Super impressed. Flavor of the salsa and chips really good. And the food tasted very good. I got the Supreme burrito and it is worth the money. Huge burrito and least a foot long. Fed me for lunch the next day too. We will definitely be back. Well done.

The carne asada tasted like the grill needed to be cleaned again. Tasted like a grill stone. The chips should be served warm, not cold. Otherwise excellent salsa and beans flavors. Good food.
