Tsunami Restaurant & Sushi Bar offers a delightful dining experience with a focus on sushi and Japanese-inspired dishes. The food is usually excellent, with highlights including the scallop dish starter, yellowtail nigiri, chicken udon, and favorites like the Vegas roll, queen jenny, and cococabana. The steak was delicious, and the Udon noodles are on the list for next time. The Jenny roll was a favorite, while the gluten-free Isaac roll didn't impress. The Tsunami brownie is a must-try, despite a burnt edge. While the soda machines can be unreliable, the atmosphere remains really good, and customer service has improved significantly. The friendly waitress Abbriella made the visit exceptional, even going the extra mile with great service for a family with a baby. Recently, attentive and knowledgeable staff like Maximus have created a great experience with their kindness and excellent suggestions. The trio skewers, including salmon, beef, and chicken, are also enjoyed, even if smaller than expected. The chocolate silk pie remains a super delicious dessert with a perfect crust.
Guests often praise the fast service of drinks, miso soup, and salads upon arrival, with meals being served within 15 to 30 minutes. The food consistently hits the mark, and the servers are always friendly and knowledgeable. Many visitors appreciate the large gluten-free menu, making it especially appealing for those with celiac disease. First-time guests find the staff happy to recommend dishes like nigiri, Philly roll, Jenny roll, crispy rice/scallion ball, and salads. The portion sizes are good, and leftovers are common. The steak is a dish some look forward to trying next. The restaurant also offers a decent kids menu, making it a good choice for families. Overall, Tsunami continues to serve great food in a friendly, welcoming environment with attentive service. Despite occasional slow service during lunch, it remains a favorite spot for many regulars and newcomers alike.
