Jang Soo Jang | Korean Restaurant

I’ve been to this place so many times but this time was SO DISAPPOINTING. The manager and chef have probably changed. They only gave us three utensils for four people. When we asked them for an extra one, it took them a while to grab it for us. The rice they gave me was still hard inside. They charged us 39 dollars for only 10 small pieces (3 slices) of beef ribs and they said that is the market price. It's literally $12 for 7 slices at Chinatown. They said the Bibimbap would be served cold if you didn’t upgrade it to a stone pot for two dollars. It was so RIDICULOUS!!!!

To be honest, in Utah, not in Elay or New York, the prices are expensive compared to the quantity and quality of food. I had sundae soup, and the quantity was about 2/3 compared to other places, and there were about 4-5 sundae in the sundae soup. And the price was $17~~~ If that's the price, I think it would be better to just eat a bowl of Vietnamese noodles. It’s a place I don’t think I’ll ever go again.

Lovely restaurant with very friendly staff. Came here with friends who recommended it after saying it was the best Korean food they had found in Salt Lake. I tried their recommendations for the lunch combo, the Beef Buligogi and the Soondubu Chigae. A great deal for the the variety of food you get. I’m probably a bad judge for this style of food but it was good and everyone enjoyed their meal. The metal cups and chop sticks were cool though!

Yummy ! Good service and good food ... The restaurant looks so nice and cozy , great for hanging out with friends . We all have lunch combos so good .

The food is excellent and reasonably priced for the most part. The owners and staff are friendly. The only small suggestion I have is to play a better selection of music instead of high energy dance. It sounds like being in a club.

Chummy Fummy

Nice interior, decent service, verrrry mid food. I would go again if someone else wanted to, but I wouldn't instigate another visit. The GOOD: well-seasoned japchae, decent yook gae jang (with the beef veggies cooked perfectly), great value on the lunch combo. The MEH: mid soondubu jjigae and dwenjang jjigae, unimpressive side dishes. The SAD: dry bulgogi that lacked any flavor besides soy sauce and sugar.

Staff was attentive, wasn’t very busy, food came quickly. It was very tasty, not too spicy, waiters came around a few times checking in.

Writing these review as I'm seating in the restaurant waiting for the check. The food was bland tasteless and it felt lack luster if I could give 0 stars I would. Staff did not care for the customer for the experience had to basically beg for a drink at one point cause not even that would they provide it felt like they wanted me out of the restaurant

I love this place but hadn’t been back in a while. It’s all remodeled and feels bright and modern. Their lunch combo is perfect, you get a little bit of everything and it’s plentiful.

Wheelchair accessibility: Most tables are easily converted into accessible seating.

07/29: What a surprise, this lovely place charged me twice:)
TRAIN your server before open!!!

07/24: I've been coming to this restaurant every month since 2017, but this is the first time I have been so disappointed. The service was so BAD. After my friend and I ordered, we waited for an hour while other tables that arrived after us had already finished their meals. No one came to check on us or see if we needed anything. We had to call the front desk, and found out that our server never placed our order.
Additionally, the quality of the dishes has become inconsistent. The sauce for the spicy squid has changed, while the other dishes were okay, they were not as impressive as they used to be. Overall, I give 0 stars for the service and 2 stars for the food. I won't be coming back.
