Food is okay. Service is very wavy .. if you’re getting to go, the people on the cashier are always nice. If you’re going to eat there, the waiters are usually very rude and rushy. Atmosphere is below average. Falafels and hummus are really good tho.

This place used to be great. I feel like the quality has gone down. I ordered the Persian kabob plate and it was extremely dry. I would recommend almost anywhere else for Mediterranean food.

I had a really bad experience a few years ago but decided to try it again. Ordered an appetizer, soup and salad (as a meal) everything was great until I was served a laughable excuse of a salad, i thought it was just part of it. My soup was bigger. It came in a side salad bowl and the shrimpwere the tiniest babies i ever did see. The salad was $9 and an additional $3 for shrimp. If you decide to eat here, skip the Salad for a meal or you will be very disappointed.

The service was good. We felt like our server might have been new. We enjoyed our appetizers the most. Our main courses were not as flavorful and mostly felt like extra rice to make it a big American portion. If we go back we would avoid the dinner combo plates and order an app and a salad or the falafel.

This is my favorite restaurant in Salt Lake. The staff is always friendly and the quality is consistent. I order the Kabob-e Kabudeh and jujeh (chicken and beef skewers) or the Spicy Green Curry but you can't go wrong here. The food always tastes fresh.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu available

Flavors of food were good but some of the gyro meat was burnt & the rice was cold. Portion sizes were good for the price $10. Service was good too.

Delicious food, very pleasant and relaxing atmosphere, and my waiter was superb. I wish everywhere would do so well with their customer service: he was prompt, attentive to my needs, and kind. I will return for sure.

I used to eat at this restaurant about 15 years ago and loved it. I was looking for a place to have my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary dinner tonight and while I knew that this restaurant was not pretty, I remembered the food being fantastic and the reviews that I read from recent months suggested that it still was. So I decided to trade beautiful ambience for excellent food. But that was not what we got. There were six of us at dinner, and only two of us enjoyed our food. We’re not picky eaters and enjoy Persian and Levantine cuisines. I came having eaten nothing all day, and was prepared to relish my food, and was disappointed in the watery and bland one-dimensional sauces; lukewarm entrees; overcooked and poorly drained pasta; thin hummus; dry beef, chicken, and rice. I don’t know if they were just having a bad night, if they were understaffed in the kitchen, or if there has been a more general decline in their food (masked by fake reviews?), but the reason we compromised on ambience in choosing The Med was to enjoy the reassurance that their food was consistently excellent. I needed the food to be good tonight for my parents’ once-in-a-lifetime anniversary dinner, and it was not. My mother resists letting me take her out for dinner because she is frugal and always feels like the food rarely is delicious enough for what it costs. I wanted to prove her wrong and instead proved her right, and on her milestone anniversary no less. I’m so sad.
