Subway in Taylorsville

“The service was great and the general manager was personable and informative as well.
This is a location that used to be 24 hours, however due to a construction project that seems to be taking forever the store is not that busy anymore.
The store is still open and is projected to stay open throughout the extended exterior so called improvement plan and will be reopening as a 24 hour sandwich shop next summer when the project is finally finished.
I have no idea why it is taking so long, the front of this plaza has been in disarray ever since I moved into the area which about 16-17 months ago.
The general manager has been with Subway for four years, she has worked at two other locations and was recently promoted from assistant manager to general manager.
The sandwich artist who made my sandwich, who was not the general manager did a great job, however I would have added vinegar and oil with salt and pepper, but I started conversing with the general manager and she went ahead and wrapped the sandwich.
I could have mentioned something and chose not to which turned out to be a good decision since I took half of the rather large 6" sandwich home and had the rest later in the evening.
The sandwich would not have been edible had I added those toppings.
The store was clean however I noticed the table needed to be wiped off and the general manager left the store without assuring the tables were cleaned before leaving.
I have noticed this to be an issue in other stores in the area as well.
Maybe they will read this review and make sure to step it up to a five star review next time.
I will definitely return to this Subway sandwich store.
The kindly threw in a free cookie for me since I had used a $3.99 coupon on my sandwich and the machine would not accept the other coupon for a free cookie.
The general manager gave me back the coupon for next time and allowed me to pick out a cookie of my choice.
I also ordered a turkey sandwich which normally I choose chicken at Subway.
The turkey sandwich was crisp and refreshing. I held off on the lettuce which I normally don't do however I wanted to load up on all the beUTAHful veggies that were presented so beUTAHfully in front of me.
So yeah I had lunch and dinner off my 6" sandwich and feel good about the $4.67 it cost to purchase it.
The service was great and the impromptu conversation with the general manager was informative.
The general manager has had to work around the effects of the constitution on store profitability levels being much lower than before the construction as well as maintaining employee scheduling and employee satisfaction levels due to the implications of the store losing a tremendous amount of traffic.
If the community can be sure to remember the lines are low at this location making service quick and the employees are working waiting for us to walk through the door to keep them employed and appreciated is a gift we can provide.
This store is in the plaze where the store front signs are completely missing, it is next to Savers and in-between a bargain bin store on Redwood Road and 4100 S.
