This has become our go to for Mexican food. We have been going here for about a year now at least once a week . We have tried numerous dishes and we have enjoyed them all. The owner Pete and his family all work here. We loveee this place. Highly recommend
I ordered takeout. I didn't get what I ordered and nothing had rice or beans as stated on the menu. And, the food I did get was terrible! Not Mexican food at all. I called the restaurant right away and they told me to come in within 2 weeks and get some rice and beans.. What should I do with just.rice and beans?. I'm definitely not going to order more awful food to go with rice and beans. I simply asked for a credit back to my card, on the food I didn't get, which I paid for....read full review
Crazy. Good food, not great. However during this time of covid they are encouraging you to pay via cash, if not they tack a surcharge on if you pay using a card.
Guess what, I won’t go back till they rescind this stupid policy

La Puente is a pleasant Mexican food spot with pretty good food and very good service. The restaurant is clean and offers great take-out options. Although it has experienced a decline in quality and clientele since COVID-19, it still provides a good dining experience. Parking is plentiful, but the lot is in need of repair. Recently, many customers have made it their favorite place for Mexican food, often visiting at least once a week and enjoying a variety of dishes. The owner Pete and his family work there, adding a personal touch to the friendly atmosphere. The smothered burritos with cheese and onion are highly recommended, and the chips and salsa are delicious enough that people have wanted to take a gallon home. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of food, and both the restaurant and the bathroom are kept very clean. Overall, La Puente remains a popular choice for good food and excellent customer service.
