Puerto Nuevo Fresh Mex & Seafood Abingdon VA

We recently vacationed in Abingdon. When we arrived we were starving as we'd been driving from Indiana since the morning. We ordered chicken and beef burritos and the best bowl of chicken soup I've ever eaten. Absolutely great food and service. Thank you for the wonderful dining experience. We will be repeat customers.

Great place, good food, nice salsa section.

It was okay. I had my go-to chimichangas, and they weren't really what I expected. But, they were still good.

I wasn't excited about the refried beans that came with the chips. My waiter didn't invite me to use the salsa bar, which I discovered after I was leaving.

The place was good, but it just didn't knock out out of the park for me.

I used to absolutely love this place, but sadly, it’s a never again situation. From the incorrect orders, then the desire to argue with me about the difference between meat or bean….there are much better restaurants in Abingdon with a desire to please their customer base.

Yikes. Avoid.
Customer service (or lack thereof) was extremely poor. I called in for a pick up order. The girl on the phone was short with me when I asked if i could call in to place an order (wasn’t sure if you could, as all businesses are different and their website to order online was broken or down). I made my order and then she hung up on me without confirming what i was supposed to do next, or when to come get it, or really anything to express the conversation was finished. I called back to express my dismay, and she gave a snarky remark and hung up on me again. Not a great impression for visitors.
For managers knowledge - this was 7/11/25 around 9pm.

ETA: her snarky remark was along the lines of “oh, did your feelings get hurt.” in a whiny mocking tone, and then hung up.

The staff is always riendly and moving, never see anyone slacking. service is really quick. The food is awesome here.

Great food with exceptionally fast courteous service my waiter Chris is always fantastic plus Brandon and others is always great as well!

We stopped in on our way back to Blacksburg. Brandon was our waiter and I believe the Assistant Manager. That guy is top notch! Our food was great, loved that they served bean dip and had a salsa bar. We will definitely stop in next time we are down this way.

I love this place. The staff is awesome. The food is amazing. The price is right. 10/10

Tend get the orders wrong and instead of trying to correct the matter, they choose to be argumentative. This is not the first time ive had this issue with them, but it will be the last.

This is a remarkably well-run establishment, slinging delicious fajitas (among many other options)
for very reasonable prices.

PN has become a regular destination since we moved here a year ago, and never lets us down.

The service is consistently excellent, the restaurant clean, the food tasty and abundant— which suggests that management is doing many things well, behind the curtain.

If they continue exceeding expectations, we look forward to remaining loyal patrons for many years!
