There is not a vineyard, just a tasting room here. I was very disappointed that they do not take cash, only credit cards. So be aware. We did a red flight and we thought the wines were good.
This place was a lovely surprise! I've been to the Afton area several times over the past few years, usually on the Trolley Tour out of Crozet but we had never stopped here. My daughter and I were in the area on Mother's Day weekend and stopped here. I had no idea I like Vermouth! The Vermouth tasting was so good, we bought 2 bottles of the spring version. What a great experience! Never thought I’d come to Virginia to get an incredible vermouth and Sherry tasting, such an amazing surprise. Traylen (sorry for the spelling) was such a wonderful and knowledgeable host. I purchased some vermouth and sherry to bring home and just got back to our hotel and opened the bottle of sparking wine that I had not tried, and does not disappoint. I’d be a regular if I lived here! Thanks again y’all, love from New Orleans
