Due to the rave reviews, my husband and I stopped to check out this place before getting back to our state. I'm not a coffee drinker, but am learning about coffee and most, I do not like. It is true! Our café lattes are delicious and very smooth! This is one of only two coffee shops where I would return.
I stopped in to see the owner as I had checked the shop out recently and said I'd be back. Today I met her kind sons and enjoyed a large mocha with an extra espresso boost which was phenomenal and got blueberry cake, coffee cake, and a slice of carrot cake to enjoy. I enjoyed the quiet peaceful retreat atmosphere and did not hear music which I find non-essential. Excellent place to get away from it all should you enjoy. Quiet little Cafe near the Mt Vernon trail as it enteres into downtown Alexandria. Perfect stop for a ham n cheese croissant and Cafe mocha. There are breakfast sandwiches and deserts as well.
