Warm, inviting, and authentic. The only way we knew we were not in Umbria or the Veneto was that Bocelli rather than Michael Jackson was playing. Our multi-lingual server (Juan) was brilliant and the food was outstanding. We have paid much more for way less; Franco's Trattoria might very well become your next "go-to" place.
On a rainy Sunday evening, this was a great plane to sit in a window table, watch the rain, and enjoy a warming plate of excellent pasta.
This was our first time here and it was amazing! We attended the opera and buffet dinner upstairs. This occurs on the fourth Sunday of each month. The total experience exceeded my expectations! The food (and wine) was delicious. The wait staff was very attentive. And lastly, the creative musicians who were playing the piano (and other instruments) and singing were so kind, engaging, and talented!

Trattoria Da Franco Ristorante is a friendly and warm place to dine, often considered a hidden gem for Italian food. The food is excellent and delicious, with fresh, homemade pasta and amazing sauce. A favorite appetizer is the Mozzarella in Carozza, and the best lasagna in town can be found here. The Bucatini Carbonara has been praised as the best carbonara of 2025 by one foodie, while other popular dishes include veal saltimbocca, Penne Quattro Formaggi, and cannoli for dessert. The tiramisu is the best some have ever had. The service is top notch and the staff is lovely. The waiter is super nice, friendly, and attentive, giving great suggestions. A young bus boy constantly goes out of his way to help customers with kindness. The Chef is also extremely kind and friendly. The ambience is cozy, especially in the room with a fireplace in the winter. While a little pricey, the quality makes it totally worth it. However, one diner found the seafood pasta special, Cleopatra, overpriced with tiny, overcooked mussels. Despite this, the restaurant remains a go-to spot for guests in from out of town.
