The food & drinks were super good and the portions were HUGE! The place was definitely super crowded with the St Patrick’s Day parade so we shared a table with another couple. The system to order at the table was missing a few items that were present on the menu so a server had to take our order.A server also spilled fried & sauce on my boyfriend’s lap and proceeded to start wiping off for him before being stopped by another server- which was a funny experience looking back....read full review
Service was pretty good and the servers were initially pretty quick, it then sort of petered out. After paying and giving a 20% tip I asked for my receipt. It never materialized. Food was expensive for what you were getting ($14 pretzel?) and it was average at best. It was hot though. German potato salad was very good. Good selection of beer.

Great little Biergarten in the heart of Old Town Alexandria. Plenty of beer options and the decor makes you feel like you are in Bavaria instead of Virginia. Great selection of beers and apparently food as well, though I have yet to eat here. Helles, lagers, pilsners, Weißbier..they got it all, even the elusive Kristalweizen! The rooftop bar is also a neat place to hang when it's open. Service was great and the bartenders are super friendly. Highly recommend!
