Stopped in here with the family some apps and drinks. The pretzel and wings were both good. The atmosphere was good, but there was a quirk to the dining room set up. Our table was right next to the server station. The station is behind a chain curtain, but you can plainly see into the area. Kind of kills the ambiance. Seems like they should better block out that wall and just go through the other entrance to the space.

I literally ordered from them for worth $31 in total. And I received none of the items I ordered and just a hotdog on a bun like a seven dollar one! Unacceptable!! I was supposed to get a sausage a Bavarian pretzel and another sausage on that pretzel!!!

Cool little spot on King Street. I was more excited for the food, and the schnitzel didn’t disappoint.

Excellent place to drink good beers. I love the decoration of the place. They recreate quite well what a German "Biergarten" is like. The Pretzels are a little too big. I recommend the Belgian beer Chimay. We had first class attention. I totally recommend it.

While waiting for our table, we grabbed drinks from the bar. Once the table opened we sat down. We were greeted by our serving with her asking if we got our drinks at the bar. Then she stated that we were only to get drinks from her as it was her table. She opened up as rude as someone possibly could be and then never followed up to take an order or anything. I never had a server with such an attitude the customers. We asked for the manager and the hostess came over. Needless to say we got a new server. We had an appetizer and left. We will meet we be back, which is a shame because we liked the food before. The lack of care from the management and attitude of the server was enough to destroy a desire to eat here ever again.

This place is huge! There are dining rooms adjacent to the bar area, up some stairs brings you to where private parties are reserved, then up a few more stairs there’s a large room with several tables. That is where you can attend Open Mic Comedy sessions every Monday night. Some were funny, some not as much but that’s to be expected. It would have been nice to have had more gals, but there was only one.The food was delicious (photos are bad as the lights were down for Open Mic). I really liked the chicken tenders. The House Salad & Parmesan Fries were also good.We had to order food at the upstairs bar. The wait staff was good about clearing the dishes and probably would have brought our food to us but we were checking on it as it came out. The beers are big and there were some interesting choices. The grapefruit drink was refreshing.Street parking on the side roads is easier to find.

A good spot if you like a German-inspired pub menu. My reuben sandwich was quite good; reubens are often overdressed with Thousand Island dressing, usually to obscure poor quality pastrami. Thankfully not needed here.Attentive service. The atmosphere is, shall I say, eclectic. About half of the ground floor is a typical pub setup with a long bar and hi-top tables. The other half has picnic tables, greenery spread out overhead, and a small stage -- with a large throne style chair on it. Not sure what's going on with that, and I didn't ask during this visit. There is more seating upstairs.

Good food. The chicken schnitzel was a bit salty but very good. The service was just right. The atmosphere was fine though very noisy.

Great little Biergarten in the heart of Old Town Alexandria. Plenty of beer options and the decor makes you feel like you are in Bavaria instead of Virginia. Great selection of beers and apparently food as well, though I have yet to eat here. Helles, lagers, pilsners, Weißbier..they got it all, even the elusive Kristalweizen! The rooftop bar is also a neat place to hang when it's open. Service was great and the bartenders are super friendly. Highly recommend!

Don't go for authentic dishes (pan fried Weißwurst?) but do go for fun drinks.

Great food! They were pretty overwhelmed so I had to wave down the waitress when we needed something. Live music was fun

Yesterday on St. Patrick’s Day, we came in as a group of 8 around 4pm- and this place was out of the majority of beer on their menu. They had to serve Miller Lite, Coors, Bud (which I prefer anyways) and then ran out of those too. How do you not prepare for one of the busiest days in Old Town, especially when you’re right across from Murphy’s and people always head over from there when it gets too crowded. Also- the bathrooms upstairs were out of order so there was an huge line for the 2 unisex stalls downstairs- totally unacceptable to not have those fixed before this very busy day. Our server was great given how understaffed the place was and she did the best she could given the management. They had a DJ playing club music in the afternoon - it was so loud and I don’t think anyone was enjoying it but him. Why not some Irish music on St. Patrick’s Day? Disappointing the direction this place has gone since ownership changed.
