Terrible mussels. Cane dry and there was about 3 spoonfuls of sauce. When I asked the waiters for more sauce and told her how the mussels were dry she’s said oh sorry, no rectifying the situation- nothing . On top of that shitty mussels they charged us for bread!!! I asked for more sauce and it came well after my meal was done. The server didn’t come to check and see how our food was at all . There is a reason I don’t come here !!! This was the last straw! Go elsewhere! I’d rather spend my 40
Dollars elsewhere!

Never got to try it, bartenders were extremely rude and condescending. Left after immediately.

Visited around 5pm today 7/18. The food runner spilled sauce all over my friend’s pants, handed us a rag and walked away. We asked to speak with the manager, but he simply asked if we were okay, said ‘ENJOY YOUR MEAL,’ and then went back to watching the World Cup on TV without offering any solution. We also ordered a bottle of wine, but it was served in cheap PLASTIC glasses, which was very disappointing and felt disrespectful. The lack of accountability from the manager was the most disappointing part of the entire experience. “Enjoy your meal” was considered an adequate response to ruining a customer’s experience.

I ordered a French dip and the food runner accidentally spilled au jus all over my lap. He handed me a towel and said “sorry man” and left. The manager came and asked if everything was alright and then told us to enjoy our meal. I guess since I wasn’t enough of a Karen he couldn’t be bothered. The worst part? I didn’t even have enough au jus to enjoy my sandwich because my pants used up most of it. The rest of the team was busy taking selfies / videos of the entire bar and giving the front of house a hard time. Only giving two stars because although the food was mid, Cindy was great.

Ate here on St Patrick’s Day in the beer garden. One of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time. Service was attentive even though the place was getting slammed.

Ate here again this past weekend, had to sit outside because the inside was CRAZY loud! Music was blasting and people were yelling over the music, outside was OK but with the road noise it wasn't that much fun.
Food was still good, burger lived up to my expectations. My wife liked her salad and soup, kids liked their salads. Dessert was a little underwhelming. Had to go back inside to get silverware twice because the servers didn't bring sets for apps or dessert.

Have to take off points for service and atmosphere. Next time I'll skip this place if it's too loud and crowded.

Augie's in Old Town is a place you have to try if you're in the area! I ate here for the first time a few months ago and couldn't stop talking about the food, the friendly staff, and the great location.

My wife and I recently drove 6 hours from Ohio to visit the area again, and one of the biggest reasons was to come back to Augie's for the mussels. They were just as good as I remembered!

Over the two nights we ate there, we tried the Beer & Bacon, Tex-Mex, Italian, and N'Duja mussels. Each one was packed full of flavor and absolutely delicious!

Great food, great service, and a great atmosphere! We'll definitely be making the trip back again. If you're anywhere near Old Town, do yourself a favor and stop by Augie's. You won't be
disappointed!

One of the worst experiences I’ve had in Alexandria. If your posted hours say you’re open until 2:00 a.m., then customers who walk in at 1:00 a.m. should be treated like paying customers, not an inconvenience. The bartender and waiters/waitresses were focused on closing down. Mopping, cleaning/clearing tables, sequestering your customers to one corner of the bar, and not waiting on the tables that are occupied is terrible service. If you’re unwilling to serve people during your advertised business hours, then change your hours. I won’t be back.

Always come here when we visit. The staff is just outstanding! July 6, 2026 Update This is one of our favorite places. The French dip was to kill for! The bread...beautifully buttered and grilled and that horseradish and crispy onions with the au ju sauce beyond scrumptious! Name had Mussels, they had 50% off. We got to try a new whisky and we are a fan. Hand a wonderful bar person Ronnie! And Dave walked us through some whiskey and we.picked a really stellar whiskey Weller.

Food and service was good, nice patio. But scummy move to put the prices of everything on the menu except the beer, which is very overpriced.

Beautiful bar. Love the aesthetic for my first time there. But wow the service was terrible. After my first drink the staff just eyeballed me and didnt even talk to me until I finally asked the barback if he could tell someone id like to get another drink. Hopefully if I go again the servers will have better situational awareness. As for the drinks, they were decent, cant complain
