BARCA Pier & Wine Bar

Loved our little server! Food and service amazing. We didn't realize we would be eating outside but it ended up being a great experience. Didn't know until we left that there was actually indoor seating across street.

We had a wonderful time. The service was great, food delicious and setting lovely. An excellent Old Town evening with our out-of-town guests.

I went to Barca to celebrate my birthday and it could not have been a better choice! Francisco was the best waiter ever! The food is great, drinks same, and the price is a good value for the money.

The food was really good but the portions are quite small. The waiter was very nice and the experience was good. We just wished there was a bit more food.

A great variety. Food presentation was beautiful for each plate. Taste was on point. Each of the tapas were unique to this restaurant. I will definitely be visiting this location again during my next visit to the Alexandria area

Usually love Barca and recommend to friends and family especially when someone is not from the area, but in my latest experience the service wasn't the best. Positive: The food was out quick, the steak, whipped goat cheese, and croquetas were amazing. The views and music make you feel like you're in Spain on a Thursday night. Negatives: sat the table closer to the bar, which isn't a problem as it is a busy restaurant (was hoping for that view closest to the water!) However, we had staff on numerous occasions hovering over our table and standing next to us chit chatting. Now I get it, I've worked in a restaurant and understand there are issues but do not understand disrespecting customers space and bumping into my gf. It got to the point I had to interrupt their conversation and switch seats. Blake was a great server. He made a hectic night fun! I will be back, but hope service could improve the next time I visit whether a date night or happy hour with friends.

We had family visiting from out of state. It was a beautiful day and we booked a reservation and sat on the pier section. Francisco was an amazing server! Very attentive and knowledgeable! Food was amazing. We loved the croquetas, shrimp, and the skirt steak! Will definitely be back!

I was running late to my reservation and called them. They updated it and very were helpful when I arrived. Shrimp was awesome. Hope they will have more variety of beer - especially during Octoberfest time!!!

Our serger Javier took great care of us. He had great recommendations for both food and drinks. We were a little late for our reservation but was seated right away. The food was delicious. Our favorites were the cucumbers, shrimp, lamp chops, the pita was the best we ever had, paired perfectly with the hummus. We also enjoyed the chicken sandwich and steak. All around a great experience, will definitely be back.

A group of 8 of us went to Barca Pier for happy hour yesterday. Unfortunately, the happy hour is only at the wine bar, which doesn't have the same vibe as the pier. My suggestion would be to have happy hour at both. Otherwise, the food and drinks were delicious. The ambiance was nice by the water. The server was patient and friendly. Overall nice experience.

Tasty food, beautifully prepared. Good service, and wonderful location. Wine selection was a little underwhelming for a "Wine Bar", but this was on the pier and perhaps there were more choices inside the restaurant. Overall, great experience and will be back!
