Ben Yay’s in Alexandria is an absolute gem. The beignets are incredibly authentic—perfectly light, and fluffy, and honestly even better than the ones I’ve had in New Orleans. What truly made the experience unforgettable, though, was the kindness shown to me. I arrived right after closing, and the owner graciously reopened just to offer me two beignets he had set aside for himself—and he wouldn’t even accept payment. That level of thoughtfulness and generosity is rare....
Went her on a cold rainy Saturday, as a quick date with the hubby! Had 2 orders of Original and 1 of Cinnamon with Strawberry, Raspberry & Vanilla dipping sauces. Absolutely delicious!! We will be back!!
I took the family to Ben'YaY's last week and was delighted by there food. It was much better then I was expecting and they had a delicious strawberry jam to dip them in. Highly recommend them if you are in Old Town Alexandria!
