I went here to meet some friends for a world cup game. The atmosphere was great. The service was great. The bartender was good. The food was traditional bar food. Not great but also not bad for bar food.

We stopped into O'Connell's while exploring Old Town Alexandria and were immediately impressed by the authentic Irish pub atmosphere. The warm, inviting setting makes you feel like you've stepped into a traditional pub in Ireland.

Me, my husband and my brother stopped in there a few days ago for some Guinness and appetizers. My poor brother ended up passing out twice while we were there. He had recently been in the hospital so it was related to that, and not at all on the restaurant. The bartender and other staff were so kind the entire time. They got him water and cold cloths while we waited for the ambulance. They put a sign on the door for other people to go in a different side while we waited for the...
