Our family ate here for the first time this afternoon. We’ve been hoping for some good Afghan cuisine in the Richmond area after living in NoVA several years ago. We had quabili palau and chicken kabobs and everything was delicious! Portions were generous - my husband and I shared the quabili palau and a side of stewed pumpkin and were stuffed; teen boys polished off their own ordered of chicken, but they were full at the end. We really liked the green sauce that accompanied the meal. Staff was solicitous and personable, and the restaurant was clean. Great experience.

Had no issues with anything. Food was good, kabob fresh, lagman hot (complimentary), mantu tasted great but maybe like they use ready made dough. Food prices are very expensive compared to others in the area, would definitely eat here more if it was more like $15-$18 a person.

I visited my favorite restaurant and invited two of my friends who visited from another state and I told them that it is the best restaurant in Virginia, knowing that there is a cheerful person whose name I do not know, but I met another person named Ali, who is very bad in dealing and increases the prices for himself, and when I told him, he told me that this is a new management. I will not return there and I do not recommend anyone.

This place doesn’t look fancy or like it’s much but let me tell you it’s absolutely amazing!! The staff is always friendly and helpful to answer any questions. But the star of the show is the food! The food is hot and the spice is on point! If you sit and wait at all they will bring you soup. I drive 30 miles to pick up my food and it’s worth the drive every time!
I honestly hesitated to come here after reading a few recent negative reviews. But I don’t understand what those complaints were about. As far as my family of seven is concerned, everyone was extremely happy with the food. Most of us ordered the boneless chicken thigh kebab—it was truly amazing and incredibly flavorful.
And the bread—oh my God! I could have eaten just the bread with the white sauce and still given this place five stars. The chickpeas were excellent too. The staff was extremely kind and courteous—specifically, kudos to Ali, who always has a big smile and doesn’t hesitate to share it with customers.
We live in New Jersey and visit the Virginia area about once a year. Every time we come here, the quality is consistently impressive.

I gave an overall 2 because the food was a 2. The cashier seemed kind and the place was okay, nothing fancy. But the food. The food just wasn’t it unfortunately. The place didn’t seem authentic. The sauce truthfully seemed like ranch to me. WAY overpriced. WAY OVER! I didn’t even eat the meal.

Pure waste of money, we ordered bolani gandana there was no gandana in it I don’t know what was it, and the lamb Karahi the meat was raw not cooked properly, the rice was cold and poor customer service, I DO NOT recommend this place at all .

The food is spectacularly delicious, worth of an upscale restaurant. What a treat to get soup with the order. The bread was fabulous. I was surprised at the plastic utensils and Styrofoam plates. The food deserves more respect.
