Great deli with varied daily lunch specials.

Great cold sandwich and coffee shop with plenty of varied options. I would disregard the somewhat ignorant and irrelevant negative review. This is not a full fledged restaurant and should not be assessed as one. You don't go to Starbucks for coffee and expect to be pampered do you? If your delicate tastes require something more refined, there are several options designed for that which are literally a stone's throw away. For what this place offers, which is primarily convenience, they do it extremely well. It is very clean, reasonably priced, and the quality is consistent. The staff are always friendly.

I stopped by this deli recently and ordered a tuna melt sandwich on a rather hot day. Located inside a corporate building on Henry Street, you need to actually access the lobby of the building it's located inside to get to the deli itself (there's no street access from the deli). Service was very friendly, the place was very neat/clean, and my food was ready fairly quickly. I liked their selection of hot and cold sandwiches, as well as sides and snacks (i.e. chips). I really enjoyed my tuna melt sandwich on rye bread. It was very reasonably priced (about $8) and filling. Definitely a no frills type of place. They also appear to have a buffet bar, but it's now defunct during the current global pandemic. Old Town Alexandria has a large number of deli options, but Espresso Cafe is certainly a gem among them.

I discovered this little gem last week. For years my coworkers and I have lamented the fact that there is no true "deli" on King Street. It turns out, there is! This place is clean, the staff is very friendly, and the food is great. Good quality ingredients, lots of healthy options, and you can't beat the price. They also have a full salad bar. Highly recommend.

I have been going to this place every couple of weeks for 4 years, the quality of every delicious sandwich has remained consistent. A few favorites I recommend are "the Loft" the "Hot Italian" and the "California Turkey Wrap" the latter of which I get on Rye with hot peppers and Extra Mayo... Effin' unreal. The ladies behind the counter are efficient, professional and so very nice. You really can't go wrong with this hidden gem (literally hidden, its tucked inside an office building). My favorite sandwiches in Old Town!

This is the only place on King Street with a salad bar. The ingredients are fresh and there is enough variety to keep it interesting. They also have sandwiches (typical office deli) and specials (best are the Korean ones) but I tend to stick to the salad bar. It's take out only and open breakfast/lunch. The entrance is in the lobby of the office building on RT 1 South.

Average office cafe. Women who staff the shop are friendly. Prices for lunch items are all between $5 and $7. Wide variety of options but they don't have a grill or oven, only toaster and microwaves. Breakfast items are a better deal. Useful if you work in or around the building. Try the club sandwiches.

This your stereotypical office cafe... meaning you probably won't want to eat here unless you've got no other option. Whether you're ordering a sesame bagel that tastes like a toasted hamburger bun or a grilled chicken wrap that has quite obviously never touched a grill at any point in its existence, you're probably going to be disappointed. The tortillas they use for the wraps are really good, but that's the only positive thing I've got to say about everything I've tried so far. I work in the building. When my options have been to eat here or not eat at all, I've chosen skipping breakfast altogether.
