There was a small line when I arrived, but it moved faster than expected. The team worked efficiently while still taking time to answer questions from customers. My iced mocha was balanced and not overly sweet, which is exactly how I prefer it.
I stopped in to Evening Star Cafe for breakfast by chance when I was in Del Rey a few weekends back. I loved it! It is a perfect, relaxed, comfortable cafe with great coffee and a nice breakfast diner-style menu. And the decor is really interesting. Nice atmosphere and lighting, with all of these intricate hand-made retro art pieces on the walls and ceilings. Really a fun vibe that reminded me of old toyshops and vintage treasure hunting. I can't wait to go back!
