Was in the mood for some fresh baked goodies and this place was ON POINT! Family-run, mom & pop kind of place. When I walked in, the aroma took me back 50 years to Krick's Bakery as a kid. The baked goods were flaky (butter in the layers), crystallized sugar on top. Mmmm! Got a NY Cheese pastry and some chocolate chip cookies. Don't dismiss this place, you won't be sorry!

Family Bakery & Mrs. Doughnut is a small doughnuttery off of Cooper - their doughnuts are pretty generous in size, and it's best if you go there first thing in the morning for fresh, fluffier doughnuts. We came here after having lunch in the area, so most of their items were sold out. We did get a couple of the glazed yeast doughnuts, and they were pretty good; if you zap them in the microwave for a few seconds, even better. Service was kind and sweet. Plenty of parking in the plaza. +kind service +large doughnuts +go early for a fresh selection

There was so many options of donuts I found it hard to choose. I landed on a chocolate donut and a sprinkled donut. Luckily, when I visited, there was a very patient and sweet lady working the counter. The donuts were very tasty, consistent and thick. It only took a single donut to fill me up. I already plan on going back once in a while, there baked goods looked pretty good. I arrived as someone else was leaving, so there was no waiting around. And another person came in and picked up an order I believe, so you may be able to call ahead for larger orders.

Cute, inexpensive, tasty. We went in the middle of the day on a weekend and there were still plenty of doughnuts left. There is a credit card minimum.

Charming, family run bakery. We happened to be in the area and walked in. The apple turnovers are spectacular - large, with perfectly balanced apple filling and apricot glaze. We look forward to enjoying their cinnamon roll. Highly recommend.

Family Bakery is a low key "Neighborhood Bakery". It's a 1/2 block off Richmond Hwy. You can get 2 giant glazed donuts & a bottle of chocolate milk for $6.78. You can't do that at Krispy Kreme.

I bought a selection of doughnuts and coffee cakes to share at work here and they got rave reviews! Great service and very decent prices as well.

I've gotten doughnuts here on multiple occasions and they are always delicious. Nice size, classic flavors, and won't break the bank. They have pineapple-filled, which you don't see everywhere. Highly recommend!

Really great prices and a great selection of products. Had an apple and cream fritter. I can't say the ratio was well balanced ( the ingredients not being mixed or layered) but for the price I'm definitely not complaining. Looking forward to coming back and trying other things.

Ridiculously good pastries. Also good Donuts. If you're spending less than $10 you need cash. My solution is always to buy more Donuts

Great place to have a quick donut or buy bread! I just wish they had a more robust selection of coffee, lady was sweet at the and respectful at the counter.

The inventory is sadly lacking. And customer service is terrible. The woman is rude and inconsistent in her pricing. Will not return.

If I could leave LESS than 1 star. I would. I called, for the first time today and asked did they have a particular pie. With an attitude she snapped and said no. Before I could ask about other items they might have, she hung up on me

I personally will NEVER give this place my business again. I saw they didn't have any glazed doughnuts and very politely asked if they had anymore. The lady that was working there never looked at me or verbally responded. She pointed to the empyt bin and left it at that. I purchased some other items and once I was done she greeted the man behind me, said hello and asked him how he was. I feel VERY STRONGLY that she refused to verbally acknowledge me because Im African American...(the other gentleman was not). I felt SO disrespected in those few brief moments to the point I felt the need to post this review.
