Family Bakery & Mrs. Doughnut is a small doughnuttery off of Cooper - their doughnuts are pretty generous in size, and it's best if you go there first thing in the morning for fresh, fluffier doughnuts. We came here after having lunch in the area, so most of their items were sold out. There was so many options of donuts I found it hard to choose. I landed on a chocolate donut and a sprinkled donut. Luckily, when I visited, there was a very patient and sweet lady working the counter. The donuts were very tasty, consistent and thick. It only took a single donut to fill me up. Was in the mood for some fresh baked goodies and this place was ON POINT! Family-run, mom & pop kind of place. When I walked in, the aroma took me back 50 years to Krick's Bakery as a kid. The baked goods were flaky (butter in the layers), crystallized sugar on top. Mmmm! Got a NY Cheese pastry and some chocolate chip cookies. Don't dismiss this place, you won't be sorry!
