Good pub fare in a comfortable atmosphere. The pub burger was better than good, as were the fries that came with it. Live music in the bar was nice and not overpowering over in the dining room. They had a group in the party room, which also wasnt a problem. Reasonably priced too... overall a good experience.
The first time I ever went to Fiona's was on a St. Patrick's Day. Since then I usually order the corned beef and cabbage entree. I love the parsnip and carrot mash, something I never had eaten before. I decided to check out the rest of the menu today and was impressed by the variety. The chicken salad sandwich made with apples, scallions, raisins and almonds on a crusty baguette was delicious, as was the accompanying small side salad. Lunch is my main meal and the sandwich...
A very nice locally run restaurant. Good service and I really enjoyed the French onion soup. Nice collection of irish beers and alcoholic drinks. I have the liver and onions which I don't see in restaurants very often and but this was well done. I like the Irish style mashed potatoes very much. Great service and the managers brogue was cute. Would be a great place to spend Saint Patrick's Day.
