One of my stops when I go to Alexandria. Like the coffee smoothie and baked goods.

This is a proper bakery. Everything I ate there was great, but I think the chocolate cookie was the real winner. There is a little outdoor seating area and several tables inside too. The service was fantastic and the other customers very welcoming.

I tried multiple things and each one of them is so delicious. Cakes are not too sweet unlike other bakeries in US which is really good. Great price and quality. Will definitely recommend it.

First time here and I wasn’t disappointed! Nice atmosphere and great selection of appetizing pastries, cakes, desserts, and coffee. The iced latte was good, but lacking in strength and sweetness in my opinion, but still good. I enjoyed cake and a breakfast croissant. Looking forward to coming back. Parking is available but may be limited depending on time of day.Parking: Limited but available

Stumbled upon this cafe while on a walk with my girlfriend, we walked in and the pastries instantly caught our attention, it’s an amazing selection and I wanted to try them all. We ended up getting a ham and cheese croissant and a spinach and feta croissant, both were delicious! Also had a slice of the tres leches cake which was huge and tasted amazing. Washed it down with an iced latte which wasn’t the best I’ve ever had but it hit the spot. Everything was fairly priced and we walked away wanting to come back again!

New favorite local cake. Picked up another's order for a half moon cake and looking forward to requesting my own.

Ive eaten at the firehook in dc before and it was great. The food in old town was good but the service was poor. Just disorganized. Took several tries to actually get everything and then it was made wrong. So bad. Not worth it

Baked goods “look” better than they taste. The croissants are good BUT the cupcakes are dry. I bought a dozen of the beautifullly decorated cupcakes for an event and regretfully had to toss them because I couldn’t bring myself to bring a bad dessert to the party. ?. The frosting was flavorful but the cale was just DRY. Im addition, the gingerbread men cookies that I ordered had ZERO FLAVOR as well.
For a place that is popular for pastures you think they would have more employees on a weekend. Forcing only two women to work and creating a long line, is insane, especially in Old town. And the two employees are Hispanic women working hard is borderline racist.

Okay experience. Pastries were good but latte left a lot to be desired. The espresso was so bad and watered down that my latte tasted like coffee with milk. Prices are reasonable

Pastries at the DuPont circle branch are excellent. Long line here that moved slow. Credit card machine was having some trouble. Bathroom is code dependent and number is on the receipt. But it wasn't. Pastries here made up for the service. Coffee was strong. No milk or half and half and I didn't feel like bothering the people behind the counter so I drank it black. Prices are reasonable. And location is excellent.
The best bakery in Old Town.
