An excellent place for having a good homemade breakfast with above and beyond expectation service. Ms. Meron along with other staffs are very helpful, courteous, and kind. Steadily, their cafe’s food is made with a very high quality ingredients….indeed delicious!
We originally planned to go to Aurora, but since it was very busy, we decided to try Salem Café instead and we’re so glad we did! The service was excellent from start to finish. The restaurant is very clean, warm, and welcoming. It’s also woman owned, and the owner herself came by our table to explain how she prepares the food, which made the experience even more special. She was so pleasant and passionate about what she does

Not sure why it’s called bakery but it’s known for traditional Ethiopian breakfast, and that’s very rare to find in the dc area, the Ful is my go to and probably the best thing on the menu.
