The meals we ordered were presented very artistically but the portions were small (although not unreasonable) and the flavors were nothing special. The waiter was super friendly but his appearance weakened his professional well-being.
Celebrated a birthday in an invitingly warm atmosphere at Kiln. We began with liquid libations. Ordering a beer became a little tedious as a combination of a recent power outage with other unknown factors led to finally finding one satisfactory beer! Things became brighter with the yummy Kiln bread and soft butter enhanced w/flaky sea salt & seaweed (sounds odd but adds to the taste). For mains, the birthday boy thoroughly enjoyed his short ribs as I enjoyed the catfish accompanied...
When we politely requested to be seated at a table by the window the host flat-out refused, claiming the table was “reserved” for another party. Fair enough, Here's the kicker: that window table remained empty for the entire time we were there. Not a single person was seated at it! Not a good look for a pretty nice restaurant. Food was good, ambiance was good but not sure we'll go back.
