Atmosphere was depressing and service was average. Just buying some sandwhiches.The price was more than I expected I ordered 3 sandwhiches and a juice and it came out to 45$. Not insane considering prices these days but for how dumpy the place is I was hoping to walk out paying 35$ tops.That said, the King Street sandwich was fantastic. The Cali club was average but healthy portions. The food was ready when I arrived in 15 minutes and was still warm.I’d come back again for the king street sandwhich (pictured below) but otherwise not really worth the price IMO.If these came out to 10$ a piece with tax, this place would be outstanding.Kid-friendliness: Not very kid friendly. Just a run down sandwich shop.

Love this place! It was my first time here (visiting the area) and I ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese on a bagel. The bagel was perfect (a little crisp on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside). The bacon/egg/cheese was perfectly cooked and the flavors were robust and satisfying. It’s a cozy and friendly atmosphere. Definitely want to go here again and try new things too! ?

We wanted a cheap (but good) breakfast our last morning in Old Town Alexandria. Found this no frills cafe by searching on Yelp. It's a small establishment that was moderately busy with locals coming in and out, mostly ordering to go. It was a 2-woman show this morning, the service was great. We ordered the Pancake Platter and the Veggie Breakfast Burrito to share. Everything was well made. The prices were very good. They use paper and styrofoam plates and plastic utensils.

The King Street Café is a hidden gem! The food was delicious and the customer service was top notch. There are a few seats inside but this is the perfect sandwich shop to get take out and eat it down by the water. I had the California Club (a wrap with chicken, avocado, bacon, etc.) and it was very tasty. My brother had a smoothie and the steak and cheese sub, which he said were both great.
