Lost Dog Cafe - Alexandria

I veganised the Lola Lab (sub roll, diaya cheese) and my partner ordered the Holy Cow less. Nothing is labelled vegan, just vegetarian. I had to look online to see the pita isn’t vegan and they don’t have any protein sub except vegan meatballs. My sandwich was quite boring, not enough bean dip and all I could taste was the diaya salty cheese. My partner did came out with dairy cheese. We could immediately see it wasn’t vegan, it was way too melty and the colour was different. They changed it with no fuss, and my partner said it was ok. I would not come back here again. I would not trust them to adhere to things being totally vegan.

Good food. They serve soup in coffee mugs, which is....interesting. But would recommend!

The great food and drinks you'd expect from lost dog. Amazingly designed pizzas & sandwiches companied with an ever-changing tap list.
Alexandria can get pretty crowded on any weeknight.

Good to come back six years later nothing has changed. Food is still phenomenal. Staff is still great. Bartenders are awesome. Can’t go wrong at this place. Glad to see it’s still open. I was around living in the DC area door grand opening grab the beagle sandwich

I very much enjoyed eating at the lost dog cafe. Some of their proceeds go to help orphaned or abandoned dogs. But the food was very good as well. They have many different sandwiches to choose from as well as pizza.

I enjoy the waffle fries which they called Italian fries. Also enjoy the onion rings and the pizza and my Reuben sandwich.

I like the atmosphere and the food and will definitely go back again.

Lost Dog has THE BEST Turkey Reuben, also known as the Rachel in the DMV. There is another deli that makes a Turkey Reuben but they use sauerkraut, not coleslaw...big nope.

I've tried to make my own Turkey Reuben at home and it's still not as good as this one. I don't know what their secret ingredient is but whatever it is, it's so good. I always order through DoorDash but I plan to visit the Alexandria location next time I'm in the area. I've literally not eaten anything else on their extensive menu, so I might have to order a few things for dinner when I visit in person in 2 weeks!!!

Wow, great food, good beer selection. Will come back. Even though we don't visit DC that often. Oh, and the parking garage on the other side of the block is free under 90 minutes. Woot!

We love Lost Dog Cafe! We initially found their business after we wanted a dog friendly place to eat after vet appointments. Their patio options are comfortable and they even bring a bowl of water for your dog. The menu is big but everything we've tried has been awesome. On our most recent visit, I had the baked chicken pesto pasta and my husband had the mountain cur pizza with white garlic sauce. Our dog Lucky had grilled chicken! Great environment, people, and causes that they stand for. The on tap rootbeer is phenomenal as well!

Ordered online from Doordash. I’m a regular customer.. my order was messed up, so I called the restaurant, and they told me that I needed to call DoorDash (with an attitude), and that it was not their problem. Terrible customer service. Won’t order there again.

Cool atmosphere and tons of menu options with very creative names! The staff was friendly and informative. The Carolina Dog sandwich is a favorite we were told and now we know why. The Fat Molly is a close second!!!!!! Sandwich, extra pickle, and chips were generously portioned. The server was very attentive and made sure our experience exceeded expectations.

They have great gluten-free options for sandwiches and pizzas as well. Variety of beer, also craft beer and cider. Great place to come with your dog.
