The groundnut soup is delicious. Jollof and Waakye were also great! The woman has a sweet spirit and her husband is very kind. They are excellent hosts!

Went to try this restaurant. The food was tasteless. The meat tasted funny. Moments after I left the place, I had to pull over in traffic and vomited EVERYTHING out.
I immediately called the restaurant to advise them not to sell that particular food (peanut butter soup with rice) to anyone else JUST THAT NIGHT cos something is wrong with it. They were very dismissive to my plight.
This is the FIRST TIME in my adult life that I had to puke out a meal I ingested that quick. I was petrified. PLEASE take precaution when patronizing this restaurant.

What a wonderful man who runs this place!! I speak abundance and growth over his establishment. His food is made with love and you can tell. The Peanut butter soup is YUM and he even got me to try a millet drink, and IT was yum too!!! Different, definitely, but YUMMY!!! Also great prices!! I drove all the way from N Arlington just to get his food.

This establishment is a family affair, and the food has much love, and soul cooked into it. I always enjoy my experience with the owner, his wife, and daughter who are always so kind, and hospitable with everyone. There are always many repeat customers, because the food is fresh, they cook it when you order it, so be patient, and ready to wait a good 30 to 40 mins. I've been eating here for the past six years, and there has only been one time I've not enjoyed a dish (goat pepper soup, smelled very funky, couldn't get passed the smell). Palaver, Jolof, Fried Fish or Chicken, Gizzards, Banku, Fudu, Egusi, Red Red, the list goes on with all my favorites, and I recommend these dishes.
My only negative comment about this place it the look of cleanliness, as the ambiance is dusty, and worn, with old table Cloths and decor, half of which is falling apart. Although it has nothing to do with the food, the restaurant should reflect the warm and caring attitude of the owners, and would have a more inviting appeal for new customers, who might not give it a try, just because of its outward appearance.

Wow wow wow! The food is very flavorable and extremely delicious. I've eaten their Jellof rice with chicken 3 times and was satisfied every time. They also give you a very large portion. I will be trying the curry chicken and Red Red next time. This place isa hidden treasure . Give them a try. It's also clean with great customer service

Their food is absolutely delicious and they give you a very generous portion! I was not even able to finish the Jellof rice, it was plenty! Oh my, and the Fufu with peanut soup with goat meat and fish was so yummy...Lastly, the plantain were soft and sweet they way I requested it! The customer service is ALWAYS EXCELLENT! This is one of my favorite African and Caribbean restauranta in the DMV! You won't be disappointed

One of the best restaurants for Ghanaian local food. Try the yam with palava sauce! Yummy.

We stopped at this family-owned Ghanaian restaurant on our trip from DC to Va Beach. I ordered waakye and my husband ordered banku/tilapia. The food came out fast and hot. The taste was excellent. The portions were large. Myself, my husband and 2 boys were filled on the waakye plate. The waakye included gari, fish, eggs, and spaghetti. The banku/ tilapia was good too. It was as authentic as Ghanaian food can get.
The owners are super pleasant and truly love what they do. The lady gave us a gift of Hausa koko
(spicy millet porridge) and koose ( bean cake). That is the best Hausa porridge I’ve ever tasted.
We will back again!
