Been here a few months ago twice and I didn't remember the romaine drowning in it. We moved it out of the dressing. Our ribeye was cooked to perfection, med rare plus. Scallops were burnt on one side to be honest but softened with butter. I still think they have the best steak in Old Town Alexandria.

First and foremost I want to thank the restaurant for the beautiful card they gave my husband for his birthday. It was so sweet all the little touches matter. Our server Ty was excellent she was attentive and so sweet. She gave us her honest opinion on the food and made it a wonderful first time experience. Everyone was so nice and polite. The food was very good. We got bread service two sides two steak entrees and drinks and it was reasonably priced. The steak was cooked as ordered the sides weee delicious I have no complaints about the food. Or the wait time. It was cozy and intimate inside with tasteful decor. My husband loved his drinks. We are so satisfied. And will definitely return.

Oak Steakhouse, what can I say but absolutely wow!! From start to finish, we were shown exceptional service. We were a large party of 10 for a work dinner with a pretty last-minute reservation. The staff reached out multiple times the day of the reservation to confirm and were flexible as our numbers kept changing. This understanding made a huge impression. The food was phenomenal, from the seafood towers to the perfectly seasoned steak, and not to mention the cocktails. We were completely blown away. The ambiance was beautiful, warm, and inviting. I could not recommend Oak Steakhouse enough—an absolute premium experience.

We were staying in National Harbor for a few nights and wanted to see some of the surrounding area. We found this restaurant just doing a local search for a steak restaurant. What a great find. Our waiter was outstanding. He explained the menu well and offered suggestions. I ended up getting the wedge salad with steak, and my husband got the pork chops. We split the Brussels sprouts and everything was fantastic. We also got dessert including the chocolate layered cake and oatmeal cookie special. We highly recommend this place. And the local area was very quant.

Food service was timely but table service was rushed and impersonal. Maybe they were just short staffed. Either way, for the prices I would have expected a more relaxed service. Our server rushed away before we were done with our questions or requests multiple times.

Service was good, Food was just ok, Oysters delish, Parker house rolls delicious, Heirloom tomato Burrata had like 2-3 grape tomatoes and had no flavor. The Steaks were cooked correctly and tasted good. The sides for the price just ok, Beef Fat fries cold, Mac and cheese warm not hot.Brussels good, mushrooms good.

This was a birthday dinner. For the two of us, our bill was nearly $400, but we were prepared to pay for exceptional food and service, having dined here on previous occasions with good results. I ordered the larger cut of filet mignon. When it arrived, it was the smaller size-the petit. We knew this because my wife ordered the petit and they were identical. The server agreed with us, so we did not accept it. The server offered to have the chef speak with us, but returned shortly to say that the chef was too busy, even though the restaurant was 2/3 empty. Another filet was brought and it was also of the smaller size. We accepted it because we did not wish to further escalate. Both servers tried to persuade us that cooking greatly reduced the size, and assured us that the first cut was correct. The second server then informed us that the replacement was the petit. Rather than arguing the point further, we accepted it. At the end of the meal, we discovered that we had been charged for the larger cut. The petit that we rejected was left at our table because, the server said, we could either take it or they would throw it away. We weighed it on our digital kitchen scale when we returned home, and it weighed in almost precisely at the smaller, petit weight (menu = 6 oz; our scale measured it at 6.55oz). Only confirming what we could see for ourselves. My partner then called and spoke to the manager. She was offered a free dessert, a small dispensation on the price, and the promise that we would be well treated on a future visit. The overall experience was insulting. To those who follow in our footsteps, we hope that your visit is more enjoyable. As for us, we won't have any apprehension about a future visit because ... there won't be one.
