Baby gems Caesar should've been trimmed better. Our server seem to disappear every time our food came out. We had to ask other people for pepper and salt and other condiments. Overall it was a good dining experience, our steaks were the perfect temperature and the anniversary dessert was fabulous.

We visited on Father's Day. The restaurant was full but felt comfortable. We were seated promptly and our waiter arrived soon after. Our waiter, Leo, was excellent. He was very knowledgeable about the food and beverage menus, and personable as well. When an issue arose and we were told that there were no more hamburgers available, he was able to work with the kitchen and the order was fulfilled. Leo was appropriately attentive throughout the meal, as were the other serving staff. The food was delicious and timing was perfect! We enjoyed our oysters, beef belly, cowboy ribeye, burger, and sides, although the portions of the sides were smaller than expected. No one in our party enjoyed the bread, which is an additional cost. I personally find it to be poor form for a high-end restaurant to skimp on customer pleasantries such a complimentary bread service. All in all, I would revisit and recommend.

Gouda Mac + Cheese not enough Gouda and I added crab got two pieces ($34) not worth the money. Ordered Baby Gem Caesar Salad got a Wedge Salad all core no lettuce with bread like crumbs in the dressing not good. Also table ordered the special Sea Bass mostly a liquid salad under a miniature piece of Sea Bass.

I had a wonderful dining experience here! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious. What really made the night stand out, though, was the service. Our server, Rich, was fantastic—attentive without being overbearing, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. He made us feel truly taken care of. Highly recommend this place, and if you’re lucky enough to get Rich as your server, you’re in for a great night!

Our steak was over cooked for a “medium rare” steak, which you think a steak house would be able to prevent. After sending back the filet, they brought a new one in more of a bleu rare temp, and TODD, the manager got a bit defensive. When we waved off the second steak, Todd said, “you’re not going to pay for it, so just eat it.” So, this is a wild ride. We typically visit Capitol Grill or Joes in DC, but we’re trying a local neighborhood spot and left quite disappointed. Our advice: all the sides were spot on, especially the rolls, but avoid TODD!

This restaurant is a gem (emphasis on gem) in Alexandria VA. We dined here with friends and from the moment we walked in the door we received white glove service. Our waitress Alexandria, felt like family and, she was very knowledgeable about every app/entree/drink on the menu and could provide recommendations based on our preference and nailed them all.

Have you ever tasted a dish so good you paused, put your fork down, rolled your eyes in the back of your head and exclaimed a word to define your pleasure? We did that the entire night.

They have a raw bar, caviar service, exquisite drinks with cool names and their dessert “knows no bounds”.

Do yourself a favor and visit for an unforgettable experience!

Our second time dining here. Had a great experience and great service the first time but very different this time around. Food came out incorrect. Service was lacking. Still giving 3/5 stars because I feel like the place has potential and maybe it was an off night.

This was my third time and it remains a 5-star experience—same as the first two times. This time the table had sea bass and duck, along with cocktails and mocktails. We had two guests in our party who had never been and they said they would be back before we even got our meals. From the wait staff to the bartenders who name the cocktails creatively, I can't say enough about the experience, ambience, freshness of the in-house selections, this is definitely one of my favorite places in Virginia (and the overall DMV).

A beautiful evening, to celebrate a special wedding anniversary (57 years!). Ambiance was perfect, hostess ensured we had a quiet table, and Leo our waiter was magnificent — attentive, professional, kind. A wonderful evening in every way!

We were a table of 4 and a large party was sat next to us. There was a very very noisy baby and a rowdy and loud crowd celebrating. They were obnoxiously loud we were straining to talk to one another at our own table. We did not complain to management and carried on with our dinner. To our surprise the table left and while we were happy we could enjoy a peaceful dinner, we were curious why the table of 12 left (and left a huge mess on their table). The manager came over to us and apologized to us for the disruption to our dinner and informed us that he asked them to leave because they were being disruptive. We appreciate the manager taking matters into his own hands and asking them to leave. He said he valued everyone's experience at the restaurant and that table was disrupting many guests. Thank you, OAK - so much for taking care of this and letting us carry on with what ended up being a peaceful dinner to enjoy. This is why us locals keep returning to our favorite steak restaurant here in Old Town!

This was my first experience eating at Oak Steakhouse. The waiter was exceptional. Thank you for making my husband's birthday celebration a success. I will be visiting your restaurant again.

Excellent food and service but a very limited menu. No baked potato option and very little seafood.
