This place, it’s food, and especially the service is amazing!!! I tried the weekend special pork Schweinehacks with sauerkraut and finished with the Apple strudel. Just wow! Everything was delicious, I highly recommend this restaurant!

OMG AMAZING! So, I went here with my boyfriend and his dad (who are German), and the service, atmosphere, food, and drink blew me away! Our waiter was so kind and enthusiastic and convinced me to try the schnitzel and I’m so happy I took his advice. The pork schnitzel was tender and perfectly crispy, my boyfriend had the Holsteiner schnitzel and he loved it and his dad had the classic Weiner schnitzel and had no leftovers! The atmosphere was amazing with friendly staff and other patrons, and we topped it off with a few lagers and a smooth espresso for me! PS. Get the fries!!

We arrived at our reservation having just endured a 10 hour travel day )that was supposed to be 3 hours) so we were all flustered and out of sorts. As we were being seated, my three year old paused on the stairs and vomited right then and there. I was mortified of course but they were SO kind and understanding. That continued throughout our meal (since our kid recovered quickly). I cannot say enough about their amazing service and professional demeanor. Thank you to that staff!

The restaurant has a great ambiance and on Wednesdays, they have a special where selected wines are half-price per bottle. The servers are amicable which adds to a pleasant dining experience. I highly recommend trying their delicious Greek salad.

Having just returned from a 3 year stay in Germany my girlfriend and I thought it would be good to eat German food for Valentine's day. It is clearly a local establishment and has many returning customers, but the food is poor. Let me start with the dessert. I ordered apple strudel (Apfelstrudel) with vanilla sauce. the strudel was microwaved in that the apple burned my mouth and the vanilla sauce melted. I ordered the lamb chops and it was overcooked and whatever seasoning it was burnt into the bone and tasted bad. I ordered a mojito and it came with so much lime that is all I could taste. My girlfriend had the Jager Schnitzel with grilled vegetables, she only ate a part of the schnitzel, but said the grilled vegetables were good. Other than that the service was good and the restaurant is located in old town Alexandria and the building was cozy with music playing in the background. We normally give a place another chance before writing a review, but based on how expensive the place is it is not worth a second or more visit.Parking: there is free parking, but there are time restrictions.

My partner (who is German) and I took our friends here and wow! We LOVED it. This restaurant had the most authentic German food in the area. The owner is really passionate about this cuisine and it shows in the food. Definitely recommend!

Making sure bread basket and water were full.Food was good. I had cordon blue and sister had seafood platter.Lighting was dim. Perfect place for a date night.

Very good food. Had the cevecipi app and the Veggie Sandwich for lunch. The ajvar was great with the cevecipi, which was very tasty. The veggie sandwich was very filling, with fresh flavor, and the fries were cooked to perfection.
