I recently visited Philadelphia Cheesesteak Factory in Alexandria, VA, for lunch on a Friday afternoon. I ordered the Ultimate Cheesesteak, which came with hot peppers, sweet peppers, mushrooms, onions, and I opted for cheese whiz. I also added a side of mozzarella sticks. The place wasn’t crowded, and the customer service was excellent. Our order was taken promptly, and the food was prepped and ready quickly.

However, the food itself didn’t live up to expectations....

For a place with cheesesteaks in its name, it’s just okay. Honestly jersey mikes makes a better cheesesteak as much as it pains me to say it. However, everyone seems to be ordering pizzas so maybe I’ll try that next time

Bottom line up front: best cheesesteak I've had in Virginia

Having grown up outside Philly, I was really jonesing for a taste of the city that invented America this 4th of July. Philadelphia Cheesesteak Factory did not disappoint. Not only was the cheesesteak delicious, the price was exactly what I would have expected back home. Service was incredibly fast.
