I’ve heard about PLNT Burger and was excited to try it. But I didn’t expect it to be inside a Whole Foods, so I walked 20 minutes across Alexandria just to eat a meh-rated spicy chicken sandwich at a loud and messy Whole Foods café. I’m always happy to support a fully vegan place, but this wasn’t a great experience and I wish I’d gone somewhere else for one of my only two nights in DC.

PLNT Burger in Old Towne Alexandria, VA has the best customer service! Friendly and fast service. The PLNT burger and sweet potato fries are delicious too! I highly recommend PLNT Burger!

I’ve tried many plant-based burgers, and this was by far the worst. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. The burger looked sloppy, had no seasoning, and completely fell apart after one bite—just overall terrible. On top of that, the customer service was mediocre. The staff seemed unhappy to be there, and the whole experience felt unwelcoming. The team could definitely use some Chick-fil-A–style customer service training.

Food was good as always. Love the vegan cheese they use! Fries are my fave. Wish the wrapper on the burger was thicker.
The sweet potato fries were amazing. The burger was surprisand.
