Good overall experience with best fried okra! Bbq brisket was tender but lacked some flavor, chopped pork sandwich was tasty. Loved the sweet sauce!

Birthday take out go to for my son. Every birthday without fail and it has never disappointed. Also great place for gluten intolerant members of the family!

My boyfriend and I stopped into Rocklands on a whim. We’ve both been living in Alexandria for awhile and I had never heard of it. I was pleasantly surprised. A gem in the cut, if you will. The staff was the best and definitely made the experience worth while – shout out to Julian. We got the food to go. It was wonderful and the sauces were amazing. Will definitely be visiting in the summertime to take advantage of the outside seating. Here’s a pic of the everyday specials in case you need it :)

Have had many entries and all good. But most of all, don’t generally think of going to a bbq place for a healthy meal, but Rocklands makes a great grilled chicken salad. Hits all the right tastes and is very satisfying (especially with some pickled onion added at the self serve bar)!
