Some of the worst BBQ I have ever experienced now 2x at both locations.

SEASON your food!!!!

They spent their whole budget on old meat cleavers to hang from the wall so I guess there was none left to season meat fries or anything else.

$50 bought me 2 beef ribs that had about a half inch of fat sitting on top of them post cook.

Trim your meat to a 1/4 inch before cooking and season such a big piece of meat.

That sour bbq on top was not pleasant either. Too expensive for too little flavor it wasnt even smokey. Tasted like they were cooked in a steam drawer seriously go back to the drawing board with the whole concept.

2 trips 2 locations 0 flavor Im done.

The the cheese on the macaroni and cheese, taste it like rehydrated cheese powder. The ribs were cooked correctly however, the sauce was a tangy mess. The barbecue baked beans just taste like you added a bunch of cheap barbecue sauce to it. But the collard greens are great. Also, the brisket was average. 0/10 will not return.

Food is always on point. Staff is very friendly and courteous. The building is always clean. I spent $98 today and got 2 bottles of the BBQ sauce. Every time I come out to this area I stop here. Happy customer!!!

The recent purchase of ribs, chicken, and beef brisket, totaling a minimum of $72, yielded unsatisfactory results. The flavor profile was perceived as bland, extending to the accompanying side dishes, including collard greens, coleslaw, and macaroni and cheese. Consequently, the trip to Alexandria to acquire this barbecue was deemed unproductive.

Love their food and service. They are super friendly and fast! 💯 recommend

We've been going to Rockland's for many, many years and we're never disappointed! My husband's favorite are the BBQ spare ribs and I absolutely love the thin cut brisket! Those egg rolls with the sweet chili sauce are sooooo good! We normally get the collard greens and potatoe salad for our sides which are good as well. We don't mind spending the money when the food and service are on point!

Going in, it felt like Rocklands was guaranteed to be good BBQ. I do not know who would consider this good BBQ.
Pulled chicken - tender but flavorless
Chopped pork - good but too much fat
Brisket - Way too fatty and sliced thin like what one would do to cover inferior brisket in sauce.
Cole Slaw - Nothing good here…who puts peas in cole slaw?
Baked beans - Tasted more like stewed tomatoes
Collard greens - Tasted like they weren’t cleaned
Potato Salad - a real delight, fantastic

The food is consistently delicious, well-made, and freshly prepared. The service is always extremely friendly and very prompt. I always end up feeling good, my attitude is always improved, it’s just a good experience all way round.

Enjoyed a quick lunch at Rockland’s Alexandria location: pulled chicken sandwich with two sides (macaroni and cheese with fruit salad). Very delicious and a great value. Was with a large group so sat outside on the covered patio, as indoor space was a bit crowded at lunch time. Fast and friendly service! Rocklands is the best BBQ in the area!
