Food isn't always great and is inconsistent, and piano is obnoxious in such a small space, but staff is friendly, bathrooms clean and we go there frequently. My favorites are the cherry blossom chai and egg nog latte.

Cashier not friendly. Had to ask to have my danish heated and she seemed annoyed by this. Waited 15 plus minutes for a basic smoothie- I realized no one was making any after awhile. Told them, then it was made- no apology made. I'd gone once before and remembered there was something I didn't like about it- the service reminded me. Food and drinks are okay. Not going back.

Stayed in Alexandria recently and was given this place as a breakfast spot. Ordered Avocado toast and hot chocolate. The toast came un-toasted. I sent it back- 15 minutes later I received ice cold avocado on over toasted bread. Very disappointed- would not recommend

My lox bagel & latte was perfect were amazing. Whoever made it...made it with love? im finding that hard to find here; tasty, good and consistent food. Definitely will be back when I'm this way!
Our first time at this place and my partner and I really enjoyed it. We got the four cheese grilled cheese with tomato soup, breakfast croissant, and a blueberry banana muffin. All delicious, especially with added avocado on the mound of grilled cheeeeeeeese.

This cafe is a cornerstone of the community here in Del Ray. A great place to be to socialize or even to just work on a laptop for a few hours. The coffee is good, WIFI is fast, and the prices are reasonable. I do wish the piano player who comes in played a bit more subtly. It can get quite loud and jarring at times. I’d prefer more of a background music vibe (especially on a weekday), but that’s just my opinion.

Really hit or miss service. I enjoy this spot because it's convenient, but have experienced very poor customer service, including being completely ignored, as well as poor quality food items. When I go, I only get coffee from now on.
This place used to be great but over the last year or two, the quality of coffee and food has declined and it takes forever to get the order filled. The place is also often littered and they don’t clean the tables often. Sadly, we will not be coming back.

They won’t put the cream cheese on your bagel or sugar/cream in your coffee. What coffee shop does this. I will never come back.

I really love hanging out here and the staff are all super friendly. Snacks and some of the food are solid, but unfortunately I just don’t care for any of their espresso drinks - cappuccino, latte, plain espresso… could just be me, but I’ve given them about a dozen tries and I just can’t make it through one. I’ll keep coming back because the place is great, but I’ll sadly have to pass on coffee.

The line was long but orders were taken and quickly filled. We got a couple of the pastries, coffee, and breakfast sandwiches. I got a little nervous when I saw them making my drink because they used a powder mix for the mocha. But it didn't have a powdery taste even though they don't use a sauce or syrup and was surprisingly delicious! Many people bike or walk here and bring their dogs. There is ample outdoor seating on both sides of the street.
