We were in the mood for BBQ and walked by Sweet Fire Donna’s on Carlyle street in Alexandria, VA and OMG - what a great choice. One note - if you want cocktails, beer, wine, you need to order from the bar while food is ordered at the main entrance register. The staff was very helpful being our first time and we opted for the Pulled Pork Mac & Cheese and the pulled pork & cheese nachos with coleslaw on top. I loved their Turkey Sandwich with fries and a cold coke. It was so delicious especially when I put their famous Honey 🍯 Chipotle sauce on it. The employees and owner are so nice. I recommend to everyone. Thank You and Enjoy.
This appears to be a great late night hang out. I ordered brisket tacos and it was not shredded brisket from traditional terms. It reminded me of NYC halal food truck meat with the white sauce. There is no putting bbq sauce on it. It was decent, just not BBQ.
