Such a great coffee spot in Alexandria. They roast their own beans, so the coffee is fresh and flavorful. The space is roomy and comfortable, perfect for sitting and enjoying your coffee, and street parking is pretty easy. It has that charming, long-standing local roastery feel with mostly locals stopping by. Really loved the vibe here.
Swings has some of the best roasted coffee I’ve ever had. So many different varieties and ethically sourced coffee. I love coming here once a month to get their ‘light roast Brazil Legender’ for my Chemex. One $16 bag lasts me all month! They always offer nice pastries options as well if you decide to sit in.
The real test when trying a new coffee place is for me to order an iced Americano. It was okay. The croissants on the other hand were phenomenal.
I had kids with me and the system for calling out names wasn't super smooth. My drink sat for a few minutes before it was apparent it was ready. My name was not called or if it was, not loud enough to hear.
And seating was hard with kids.
