My recent visit to The Executive Diner in Alexandria, VA, for breakfast was quite a pleasant experience. The diner boasts ample parking and a variety of seating options, both indoors and outdoors, which is great for any weather or occasion. They are also kid-friendly, making it a stress-free choice for families. We tried the sausage and biscuits, which were served in a generous portion size, ideal for sharing. The maple sausage, eggs, and French toast combo was tasty, although the eggs were a bit runny and the French toast was slightly over-fried around the edges. However, the softer parts of the French toast were delicious, especially with the berries, even if a tad too sweet.A highlight was the freshly pressed orange juice, which I recommend enjoying over a separate glass of ice for the best experience. Despite the small critiques, the overall meal was delightful, and I'm eager to return to The Executive Diner to satisfy my morning cravings.

They are worth a visit just for the lemon-garlic dressing on the Greek salad. Service was pleasant. Restaurant is clean and neat. Overall really nice.

I'm giving this place 3 stars based on this being the best breakfast I've had in the DC area in the week I've been here. There just doesn't seem to be many sit down breakfast places open during the week, mostly just coffee shops with sandwiches or McDonald's. Having said that, if I'd have had this breakfast in any restaurant in Texas I'd have been really disappointed. My wife and I both had the Executive Platter, which was pretty fairly priced for the amount of food you get, it just wasn't very good food. The eggs were meh. The house potatoes were ok. The pancake was average. The bacon was not crispy but that might be a personal preference. The biscuit was horrible. Not a ringing endorsement I know, but unless you want to go way out of your way on a weekday for a real sit down breakfast, there's not a lot of options.

This was a great find! Great service and food. Christian P was our server and did an excellent job. Our wait on our food was minimal and the atmosphere was great. It was a perfect fit for our family of five with plenty of options.

The food did not fit my flavor profile, but the restaurant was hopping and everyone else seemed to enjoy their meal.

Definitely a miss. Customer service was below average. The food was a complete miss. I ordered the huevos rancheros and it was disgusting. I was able to eat the eggs and avocado, but nothing more. My family ordered the French toast and cornbeef hash and it was also disgusting. The coffee was also watered down. I am actually sad I chose this spot on my day off of work. Go somewhere else. There are a lot of other places to try out - go there!

I LOVE the executive diner. The BEST Greek salad around with grilled chicken, lemon garlic dressing, feta, and lots of fresh veggies and olives. House made soups are delicious and breakfast is wonderful! If something is not to your liking they will fix it! A cut above the average diner in freshness and quality.

So me and my fiancé came to executive diner after church, and it was fantastic! My fiancé had The country fried steak, and I had to steak and eggs and the steak was so tender and juicy and the country fried steak was so tender and delicious and everything is seasoned well! Hats off to the chef, and then our waiter…. Christian was amazing! He was very courteous, very professional. Literally,we didn’t have to ask him anything he was already there, bringing us the A1 steak sauce ( all the condiments ) and whatever we needed. He’s Very attentive! This place is very cool and you should definitely bring the family for an awesome breakfast. We have to try lunch next.!
