Best pho in the DMV? Probably. I've been going here off and on for 20+ years and I still think the pho is peak pho here. Simple place, small menu, with a focus on the essentials. Clean interior, plenty of parking, friendly staff and delicious food. A real gem in the Alexandria area.
A minimalist gem if you like pho. They've been in this spot for 20 years, I just discovered them today! I believe the pho is southern style as it didn't punch me in the face with its aromatics or flavor, but it was a delightful and subtle broth. The pho noodles were not the flat noodles that I'm used to, but they were great and did the job! The beef balls (bo vien) are definitely worth the extra $1! Great bouncy texture, fun to eat. Viet House makes some of the best Pho I've ever tasted. The broth has depth, they are very generous with their toppings and when I call for carry out, the food is ready in less than 10 minutes.
While I've never eaten in there, the place seems very clean and it is always busy and staffed with a lot of people so I assume service is great as well.
