Amazing location in Old City Alexandria - down by the water - very pretty place - lovely menu - food was delicious - service very good - glad we found it
The service was fantastic! Thank you, Antonio! The Rockfish and pasta dinner was delicious!
Greeted upon arrival had reservation seated promptly great table inside yet next to screened open window. Val greeted us promptly very gracious friendly anticipated our needs . Always a great experience this however was exceptional. I'm in the business appreciate great service. Thank you Val virtue feed and grain. P.S. Blueberry mocktail outstanding
Came here for my husbands birthday and we had such a great experience! We sat upstairs, had speedy service, and our server was checking on us constantly- he brought my husband ice cream, and always made sure we had everything we needed! Cocktails and spritzes were great and they had an huge wine/liquor selection. Plus flights!! 10/10, a must if you're in Old Town!
Great experience, though the chicken piccata was under-seasoned (more salt!). Wonderful ambiance and service. Calamari was great!
I expected more. The setting is lovely but the food was meh. Steak was undercooked (and removed from the bill), broccoli was boiled and blah. My frozen drink was served in a styrofoam cup.
Clay was amazing!!!! Our fabulous food came out VERY quickly which was great as we had guests catching trains and planes for the holiday weekend!!! Excellent experience.
Great brunch menu and reasonable price. We enjoyed their breakfast burrito, French toast and scotch eggs. We had a great server (Clay) and very attentive!
On Saturday, April 5th at 9pm. I ordered the Virtue Black Angus Burger and made it very clear to the waiter that I did not want any pink in the meat. I asked for it to be really well done. His response was dismissive and cocky, saying, “That’s well done, sir,” and when I laughed nervously and repeated, “No pink, please,” he brushed it off again. The burger arrived red and bloody. When I asked for it to be remade, he insisted it was what I ordered. It took nearly 20 minutes to get another burger, by which point my company had finished eating. When I asked about the delay, instead of apologizing, he blamed the kitchen, the system, even me—showing me his ordering screen and sarcastically saying, “What you want me to do?” I told him an apology would go a long way, and he literally laughed and said, “I did nothing wrong.” I asked for a manager. She came over and within 5 minutes brought me what I can only describe as a red, bloody steak—nowhere near what I asked for. She seemed embarrassed, finally brought a properly cooked burger, and comped the meal. I was grateful thought that would be the end of it. I still left 20% to the waiter despite his rudeness and lack of care. Unfortunately, around 5 hours later I became violently ill with textbook food poisoning symptoms. I’ve eaten beef burgers countless times without any issues. Given the poor handling of my request, the undercooked meat, and the way it was remade under clear tension and carelessness, I’m left genuinely concerned that this was more than just negligence. It felt intentional. I have reported this incident to the local health board for investigation. Food safety is not a joke, and the behavior I encountered from staff—from mockery to mishandling—was unacceptable. Diners deserve better. I have collected samples of my stool and vomit through the ER so they can address and can be used in any legal matter. I understand mistakes are made but this was personal from the waiter and manager. Where is the decency?
I don’t typically take the time to write reviews, but that was the best ribeye I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Highly recommend the surf and turf. Put Fort Worth to shame 10/10

I don't think I have ever had full course entrees come out of a kitchen that quickly. We waited maybe five minutes from the time we put our order in and the place was packed on top of it. Food was great. I had the prime rib sandwich with duck fat fries. I will have to try the duck poutine next time. Service was great and they made sure we were happy with every aspect of our meals. Great spot.

Next to the Tobacco Art Factory Virtue is a well priced restaurant with excellent friendly service from all the staff. We enjoyed the burgers and fish tacos, and the beer. And if Bourbon is your thing then this is the place for you.

I was in town for work. Friends and coworkers picked Virtue for dinner. I loved the area, the food, and the service. I recommend it highly. Everyone loved their choices. My rockfish was wonderful. The quinoa salads with salmon looked very impressive. Not skimpy at all.
