It was fine. Nothing bad, nothing great. Just a nice restaurant. Very loud noise level. Hard to chat. Great bourbon list. Food was fine. The decor however is spectacular.

I met several college roommates there for lunch (UVA class of 80) Virtue Food & Grain has an extensive menu. We ordered 4 different meals: banana waffles, French dip sandwich, crab cake hollandaise and smoked salmon burger. All were delicious and reasonably priced. I love the decor with the old brick walls. It has a very warm feeling. I'd highly recommend this restaurant.

Always a good time with really good food and service. Their Shishito Blistered pepper appetizer is one of our favorites. As far as the rest of the menu you really can't go wrong with anything. They offer a little bit of everything for all tastes. This is also a great place for special occasions and gathering with friends. During the warmer months their outside dining area is really nice. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Great meal at a really cool place. Ordered the wagyu burger topped with an onion ring and it was delicious. Definitely recommend this restaurant if you are visiting Old Town Alexandria.
My wife and I split the chips & dips and the Wagyu Birria burger. Dips were delicious, some had a little spice, bit nothing overpowering. The burger was AMAZING, it hit all the flavor profiles and the Birria sauce just made it over the top delicious! Really nice ambiance and atmosphere, great service.

Recently had the VFG Steak & Blue salad at Virtue Feed & Grain in Old Town Alexandria, VA. The salad consisted of grilled beef tenderloin, mixed greens, dried cranberries, candied hazelnuts, smoked blue cheese, and balsamic dressing. The steak was cooked perfectly and there was a nice balance of saltiness and sweetness in the salad. The only thing I would have changed is to have less hazelnuts and a few less dried cranberries.
