Stumbled across Broad Street Deli back in April while traveling the backroads from New York to Florida. Saw decent reviews and figured I'd give it a shot. Ordered one sub, and I'm glad I did. The portion size was definitely enough for two. It was one of the best subs I've had in a long while.
Larry was pleasant and memorable, in all the right ways. I can't say for certain I'll pass through here again, but if I do, I already know where I'm stopping.
Highly recommend if you're passing through Altavista.

Great customer service, food was amazing!!! Good portions, full of flavor and family friendly. Will come back again.
Came here for Father’s Day; drove down from
Lynchburg and arrived at 1pm. Thought of the perfect way for a Philly native to spend Fathers Day with family but restaurant was closed. Sign says they should be open and they had open sign but restaurant was closed. No edits to hours. Nothing posted online they would be closed. No one inside. Very disappointed!

If you want THE MOST AUTHENTIC PHILLY CHEESE STEAK outside of Philly, go to Broad Street Deli!!! They were even closed when we arrived, and the owner came out when she saw us upset outside and Opened the restaurant for Our Family!!! The food was incredible, the service amazing, and the owners themselves are absolute gems. We couldn’t have loved it loved more!

This place is 5 stars in every aspect. The service is amazing and the food is super authentic (you have to get the Philly cheesesteaks). Worth the trip from wherever you are coming from. Right in the heart of a cool downtown area and veteran owned.

Cheese steak was delicious but $18 was a little expensive for my taste. A must try if passing through town. Thank you.
Just a bad first impression food wrong and not the best. Definitely portioned but not good this afternoon 🤷🏽♂ . If commented I was definitely pissed

Food is excellent. While it may be a little more pricey it is alot of food the sandwiches were massive. It's a small place but service is fast and the people are delightful.

Great food, a little pricey for sandwhich shop, but amount of steak on the hoagie roll made itbworth it. Didn't need dinner.

Although at first glance, the prices seem high;however, when you get your sub it is enough for two meals. When the owner is preparing your food, you know it's gonna be good. And it was. Just a real pleasure meeting the owner. Just a wonderful lady, even if she is a Pittsburgh fan and not an Eagles fan. Be sure and try the Broad Street Bully. It'll feed two.

It really deserves no stars. I went at 1:30 today and there was a sign on the door saying be back in 20 min. SMH.
Someone came while I was writing this review but I left anyway.
